Theme: I Am The Change

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jamnabai Narsee School, managed by the Narsee Monjee Educational Trust, aims at promoting the growth and integration of all the facets of an individual’s personality, in an ambience of Indian culture. TEDxYouth@JNS shall be an event which mirrors this very goal of the school, with its theme, “I Am the Change”.

Hrishikesh Mafatlal

Graduated in Commerce with honors, from Sydenham College, Bombay in 1975, Shri Hrishikesh Mafatlal has completed advance Management Programme at Harvard Business School, USA in 1993. He is the Chairman of ARVIND MAFATLAL GROUP. He led AMG which mainly consists of 2 major Publicly Listed Companies :Mafatlal industries Ltd. and NOCIL Limited. He is actively involved in many business associations like Millowners’ Association Mumbai, Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, Indian Institute of Management, Shri Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic Mumbai. He is associated with BAIF Development Research Foundation Pune as Trustee since 1992 and as Chairman since 2012. He is a Trustee of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakut & Anandpur in MP. A disciple of His Holiness Radhanath Swami, Mr. Mafatlal has devoted himself to the Vaishnav practices of living. He is closely connected with ISKCON. Mr. Mafatlal is Chairman of Bhaktivedanta Hospital Mira Road, which conducts Eye Camps.

Nilesh Shah

Mr. Nilesh Shah is the Managing Director (MD) of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Co Ltd. He has over 25 years of experience in capital markets and market related investments, having managed funds across equity, fixed income securities and real estate for local and global investors. In his previous assignments, Nilesh has held leadership roles with Axis Capital, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Franklin Templeton and ICICI securities. Nilesh is the recipient of the inaugural Business Standard Fund Manager of the year award - Debt in 2004. He was part of the team that received the best fund house of the year award at Franklin Templeton as well as at ICICI Prudential. Nilesh is a gold medalist chartered accountant and a merit ranking cost accountant. His hobbies include reading and educating investors on financial planning.
