TEDxVGEC is an independently organized TED event by Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Chandkheda (VGEC Chandkheda). VGEC is not merely an engineering college - it is an institution that unleashes students' potential and places them in front of competitions and challenges. Entertaining it for the first time under the banner name of VGEC, TEDxVGEC imbues the progressive spirit found in the students of VGEC and is desperate to spread its enticement all over the region waiting beyond there. What is going to start as a small initiative, is expected to gain momentum the upcoming years. With this event being organized for the first time in VGEC Chandkheda, we are exhilarated about the opportunities with us. TEDxVGEC would surely be a community where the deep spark on an innovation sets its movement of purpose and anticipation.

Has created a World Record in Gynec surgeries

Has created a world Record in Gynec surgeries & won 5 international and 11 national awards including the prestigious “ American medal of honor”, “ Outstanding Gynec-surgeon” USA, “ Sachin Tendulkar of Gynec Surgery”, “Chikitsa Ratna”, “Indira Gandhi sadbhavana Award”, “Gaurav Vanta Gujarati” award, “ Gynecologist of the year” by Indian Medical Association. Dr. Bavishi has invented 4 stitch less surgeries (NDVH- Non Descent Vaginal Hysterectomy) for women, one of which he has named after his wife as Vidula’s operation. Divya Bhaskar awarded him with “Power 100 Awards” in the golden jubilee year of Gujarat including his name in the 100 most powerful people of Gujarat.

Pooja Chaurushi

Seven Times National Triathlon Champion

Known as the Golden Girl, Surat's triathlete Pooja Chaurushi. Seven times national triathlon champion has been named the brand ambassador of South Asian Triathlon Association.Pooja is the only triathlete in South Asia who has been active for long and also is a great champion. She is India’s first & only ITU certified Level 2 coach who has train Asian Triathlon Team at Indonesia & Malaysia in 2017 & Thailand in 2018 at camps conducted by International Triathlon Union (ITU).Till date she has won more than 220 medals in Swimming & Triathlon. She has been awarded Eklavya Senior Award, the highest sports recognition from Gujarat govt.

"Praveen Kumar Gorakavi (born May 24, 1989) is an Indian Scientist, Chemical Engineer, Inventor and consultant, recognized as a polymath and former child prodigy for his works in a spectrum of fields of Science and Engineering since childhood. Gorakavi's innovations span multiple scientific fields. He has developed a low-cost artificial limb, products for water purification, food storage, biofuel synthesis, low-cost mechanical brailler and propellant from paraffin. Awards: National Bal Shree Honour, FAPCCI Award, Ugadi Gavrav Puraskar, National Science Medal, Best Technologist for Disabled welfare, Special Recognition -Scientific Research, Governor's Appreciation Award - Design, Finalist Jindal Award.
