Aidan Bancroft
Aidan Averyl Bancroft, originally from Ottawa, is SFU alumni from the schools of Communication and Business. Passionate about community engagement and connection, he has worked with The United Way of the Lower Mainland, SFU Public Square, and now joins in the incredible work being done by Vancity Credit Union. A self-made man, in the most literal way, he is passionate about the genius that can be harvested when inclusion and diversity are integral to the decisions made in our workplaces, our communities, and our countries. Aidan is also the recipient of the LOUD Foundation’s ‘Emerging Leader In the LGBTQ2S Community’ scholarship.
Anita Cheung
Anita is a first-gen Canadian creative and entrepreneur who moonlights as a yoga therapist/ meditation teacher. After working in the wellness industry for over 8 years, she co-founded Canada's first modern meditation studio- MOMENT two years ago. In the last year, she has shaken her routine and identity up considerably and now splits her time evenly between four “hats” that she wears.
Cicely-Belle Blain
Cicely-Belle Blain is a writer, consultant, activist and artist from London, UK. Their work spans across Europe, Asia and North America, with their consulting company, Cicely Blain Consulting. Cicely gained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in European Studies and Russian in 2016. Their passion rests in social justice through anti-oppressive education, offering a range of services that aim to inspire, empower and encourage participants to make change within their communities for greater inclusion, accessibility and justice.
Cicely’s experience stems from their work as a founder of Black Lives Matter, Vancouver; a political organization instrumental in changing conversations about racial justice in British Columbia and part of a larger movement that is shaping the future of Black liberation.

DiANNA DAVID is travelling around the world spreading The Red Ball Movement to inspire people to have the ‘balls’ to express their raw authentic selves and love their journey of discovering their unique aspects that make them who they are, their “Red Ball”. Dr. Alexandra T. Greenhill
Dr. Alexandra T. Greenhill is one of Canada's leading physicians in digital health innovation. She is currently the co-founder, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Careteam, an AI-enabled digital health platform with the mission to solve the fragmentation of health care for patients with complex, chronic diseases across different health conditions and contexts. After having implemented health innovation at scale and practiced medicine for now two decades in Quebec, Ontario and BC, she has spent the last six years leading and advising Canada's most innovative technology companies. She is also WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, Top 40 under 40, and Startup Canada Women Entrepreneur Award - West Coast.
Greg Durrell
Greg Durrell is a partner at Hulse & Durrell, a Vancouver-based design firm that develops brands, products and films for ambitious organizations that want to make a lasting impact. Their client list includes the International Olympic Committee, the Canadian Olympic Team, NBC Sports, and Square, to name a few. In 2018, Greg completed directing a feature-length documentary film, DESIGN CANADA, which examine how 1960s graphic design shaped the identity of a nation and its people.
Harrison Lee
Harrison Lee is a professional yoyo competitor and performer (yes, there is such a thing). Harrison is a 2X Canadian National Freestyle Yoyo Champion, and he represents Canada at yoyo contests “all around the world.” He is a familiar face around town appearing at local festivals and charitable events as well as TV and radio. As a performer, Harrison combines a very unique blend of dance music, hip-hop, and mind boggling yoyo skills.
Jackie Kai Ellis
Jackie Kai Ellis is the author of The Measure Of My Powers: a memoir of food, misery and Paris and the founder of award-winning Beaucoup Bakery in Vancouver and The Paris Tours, leading pastry tours in Paris. With a background in fine arts, design and branding, she expanded her expertise into travel and lifestyle media, writing for numerous national publications as a journalist, and regularly appearing on TV, radio, and in publications as a critic, guest and judge, or being interviewed as an expert on food, lifestyle, fashion and topics promoting passionate and inspired living.
Mike Simpson
Mike Simpson is the Executive Director of the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation, a network of non-governmental organizations working toward a better world. BCCIC is deeply engaged in tackling the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. He began working as a documentary maker on human rights, environment and development and has over thirty years of field experience in social change. From tackling the conflict diamond trade and the use of child soldiers in West Africa to fighting for forest conservation in Canada and the jungles of Peru, he believes humanities seventeen sustainable development goals have common roots in our soul.
Milena Droumeva
Milena Droumeva is Assistant Professor of Communication and Glenfraser Endowed professor in Sound Studies at Simon Fraser University specializing in mobile technologies, sound studies and multimodal ethnography, with a long-standing interest in game cultures and gender. She has worked extensively in educational research on game-based learning, as well as in interaction design for responsive environments. Milena is co-investigator for ReFiG, a SSHRC partnership grant exploring women’s participation in the games industries and game cultures. There she investigates the sound design of women in games towards better intersectional gender representation in popular media.
Nikki Sanchez
Nikki Sanchez is a Pipil/Maya and Irish/Scottish academic, Indigenous media maker and environmental educator. Nikki holds a masters degree in Indigenous Governance and is presently completing a PhD with a research focus on emerging visual media technology as it relates to Indigenous ontology. She is the current David Suzuki Foundation "Queen of Green" (queenofgreen.ca) where her work is centered on digital media creation to provide sustainable solutions for a healthy planet, as well as content creation to bring more racial inclusivity into the environmental movement. She has been involved with social justice and Indigenous rights work for over 15 years and most recently completed the 8-part documentary VICELAND series “RISE” focused on global Indigenous resurgence.

Roshan Noronha
Roshan is the founder of EnTomorrow, a student-run research group that uses insects to make a positive difference! By studying the unique characteristics of different insect species, EnTomorrow aims to apply their amazing potential to improve the world around us. More importantly, by communicating this research to the public, Roshan believes that we can all work together to make our world a better place. His work challenges us to redefine how we address issues like food shortages, deforestation, plastic pollution and more! Recently finishing his undergraduate studies in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Roshan is actively using his education and skills to create a brighter future.
