In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anna Gevorgyan

IPP NGO - Education
Anna Gevorgyan is a 2017 alumna of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Program in Lifelong Learning Policy and Management, and a 2008 alumna of the American University of Armenia, Department of English Language Programs. She currently works at the Institute of Public Policy in Armenia, as an education program manager and a researcher. She is experienced in education program policy and management, both locally and in the context of her work with international organizations. Her research interests include aspects of higher education policy and practice, language teaching and pedagogy, rights-based approach to education.

Anzhelika Harutyunyan

A graduate of Yerevan Brusov State university of Languages and Social Sciences, a translator and document manager, Anzhelika Harutyunyan loves reading and sometimes writes short stories. She's fond of music, movies and cooking. She is a big fan of nature and animals.

Arevik Anapiosyan

Deputy Minister of Education and science
Arevik Anapiosyan is the Deputy Minister of Education since May 2018. Prior to joining the Government she has been running the Institute of Public Policy NGO as its Executive Director for more than 4 years. During her professional career she has been involve in a number of international projects as an education consultant performed by various international organizations including the Council of Europe, European Union, Save the Children, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung – Caucasus, Centre for Applied Policy, and others. She is currently a visiting professor at the American University of Armenia, and Yerevan State University Centre for European Studies. Arevik is the author of a number of education policy related research, as well as she has published internationally on education innovation and development.

Arevik Sahakyan

Arevik Sahakyan graduated with honors from YSU - Yerevan State University Journalism Department, International Journalism Department. She started her professional career in 1995. During her career she has worked as a journalist and broadcaster in many news and TV companies. Now Arevik is the chief editor of Factor TV.

Ivane Yesayan ft. Anoush Boghossian

Musicians
Ivane Yesayan (violin) is an aspiring musician based in Yerevan, Armenia. With his decade of expertise in music, his unique interpretations are easily distinguishable among a crowd. He is currently working on professionalizing in music. Anoush Boghossian (piano) is a rookie law student with an early musical background. Her aims in music are mainly hobby-based. Here, the two perform the all-time classic “Elegy”, on the theme of Sayat-Nova’s “Qani Vur Jan Im” rearranged by Arno Babajanian.

Violeta Zopunyan

Centre for Rights Development NGO President
After graduating from Yerevan State University's Law Department and having great interest in health law, Violeta Zopunyan has been a scholarship researcher for the "Human Rights in Medical Assistance and Service" program within the Health & Right Initiative for the Open Society Foundation. Since 2009, she has founded the Center for Rural Development specializing in health law and has conducted a series of research on health access, patient privacy rights, palliative care,' health care of vulnerable groups and other issues. In order to raise the awareness of the public, numerous trainings have been conducted for non-governmental organizations, patients, health care providers and other stakeholders in the field. In conjunction with its partners in 2016, the International Health and Human Rights Conference, entitled "Health and Human Rights,". Violeta has authored a number of scientific articles published in the Journal of Health and Human Rights of the FXB Center at Harvard University.

Zaruhi Hovhannisyan

Zaruhi graduated from Orchestra department of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. It's interesting, however, that many other graduates of the country doesn't work with their profession,so Zaruhi is one of them. She began her career from an early age. She has worked as a journalist, broadcaster at "AR" TV Company, and later as a reporter-joirnalist of "Horizon" program at Shant tv. Apart from journalistic work, Zaruhi is also an active NGO representative, whose daily work has resulted in many issues being solved and resolved. Zaruhi was also an active member of the "Army in Reality", "Mashtots Park" and "100 Drams" initiatives. She is also a member of the Open Society Foundation Board of Armenia.
