In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Her hair-raising performances are a treat to watch and her conviction and ability to captivate with just her narration is a talent very few are blessed with.

Mir Shaz Ali

Rocket Scientist

Mir Shah Ali is a renowned rocket scientist who has founded ASTRO(Aeronautical Space Technology Rocketry Organization, a launch service provider company for aerospace manufacturing and space transport services. ASTRO aims to build the next generation of rockets for launching the new generation of various categories of small satellites. As Paul Brandt quoted, "Don't tell me sky is the limit when there are footsteps on the moon", Mir Shah Ali is opening the new era of Aerospace with the mission of making space simple for everyone. He is an innovator, an entrepreneur and the winner of numerous challenges and competitions including the Jesco Von Puttkamer Cup India 2017, which is a competition conducted by NASA for high school and college students to inspire them to become the engineers to design NASA's next-generation space systems.

Saniya Sood

Born and brought up in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, Saniya Sood is the first trans-woman of her kind who has beaten the odds to become runner-up in Miss Trans Queen India 2018. From "a little boy who felt wierd from a young age" to "thinking of it as a phase" to "accepting her gender identity", piece by piece, Saniya Sood has walked past barriers of depression and self doubt and has confidently shown the world who she really is. By embrassing her true identity, Saniya has risen to become an inspiration to trans-gender all around the world; instilling the hope of equality and respect. She has faced ali hurdles, beat bullying or rejection or social stigma about choosing once gender, but has been brave enough to remain undeterred by any of them.

Shatbhi Basu

While some people find happiness by the bar counter, Shatbhi Basu has found her passion behind it. Mixing drinks and creating beautiful cocktails, Shatbhi is India's first female bartender who has found her spark in an essentially male-dominated industry. Four years of sedulous efforts have earned her the high perch of a bartender, beverage consultant, author, head of a Bartending Academy and the American Whiskey Ambassador for India. She never ceases to learn, improvise and evolve in her domain which demands innovation and adaptability on the go. With a belief that "Life is all evolving as you grow in different directions", her vibrant persona is an inspiration to behold.
