Wayne Finley
Director of Admissions & Enrollment Strategy + Assistant Professor, Woosong University
Wayne Finley is an educator who makes a difference. At age 16 a career counsellor told him to forget going to university because he simply wasn’t ‘academic.’ Six years later he not only attended university, he finished with a Master’s degree and couldn’t wait to inspire others to do the same. In 2010, he touched down on Korean shores for the first time to teach children in academies.
Despite the initial struggle of receiving an official warning letter for being a ‘boring teacher,’ he went on to become a teacher-trainer within six months. The rest is history. Wayne is now proud to say he has received numerous awards for both the quality of his teaching and his work helping teachers. He is a regular fixture on the Korea TESOL conference circuit and is the admissions officer for two of Woosong University’s international colleges, Sol International School and Endicott College of International Studies.
