In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

A beauty queen failure, who really didn’t fail at all. Tiffany Ng is a 22-year-old Hong Kong girl spent 6 years in the United Kingdom studying and the past year volunteering for AIESEC in Thailand. A courageous solo backpacker and avid traveller she has been to 49 countries and has seen the good, the bad and the ugly. She stands for youth leadership and her dream is to inspire others to take actions and make a positive impact in the world. Seeing Miss Hong Kong as the perfect platform, she entered this past year, only to see herself just fall short of reaching the semi-finals. Although dejected and disappointed, she still had her dream…to do a TEDx Talk, and on October 11th, 2018, her dream will become a reality!
