Atla Hrafney
This talk a discussion on how using solely textbooks to teach a multitude of subjects harms a student's ability to learn and helps create an environment that disproportionately harms students in a lot of invisible ways. When we discourage children from engaging different mediums for the sake of learning, we disenfranchise them from approaching education, and the world in general, on their own terms. We must, both as individuals and as a community, take greater value into these different mediums, and help them be seen as valid tools of education in our schools, as well as our lives.
