Emma Bateman
Student
A student studying Politics, Business and History. Her passion is to change the world in which we live and she is determined to make a difference. In 2018 she volunteered to go to Tanzania in order to not only challenge herself but to open her eyes to different cultures and societies- the horror of seeing a mass of single use plastic filling the sides of the roads remains with her- so does the pollution infecting their water sources and perhaps most upsetting are the plastics spread far and wide across forest floors destroying the natural world. She asked the politicians on BBC’s Question Time on national television to stop being nervous and take action as it was her world they were ruining!
