Freelance writer, entrepreneur, speaker, and world traveler
Amanda Mouttaki is a freelance writer, entrepreneur, speaker, and hungry world traveler behind MarocMama, a blog that has been helping food-loving travelers plan authentic experiences around the world for the past 10 years. Originally from a small town in northern Wisconsin, her travels have taken her to many non-bucket-list destinations around the world. She met her husband in a love-at-first-sight romance while traveling in Morocco when she was nineteen. Fourteen years, three kids, and 50+ trips later, they call Marrakech, Morocco home.
Besides travel and her family, Amanda’s big passion in life is food. She loves experiencing the world through food—whether it’s learning a local cooking tradition from a grandma, discovering how the Vikings baked bread inside a hole, or sharing a meal in someone’s home—and her travel plans revolve around what there is to eat in a destination.
