She serves as an advocate for special needs children and drives fundraising and social services through partnerships with the Orlando Ballet, Nemours and Orlando Health. Works alongside Unshackled VC’s partners to find, fund, and support immigrant entrepreneurs solving bold problems with technology. She immigrated from Colombia at age 7 and became a citizen at age 18. It is her own immigration story of fleeing Colombia and achieving access to the American Dream that motivates her to uplift others by eliminating the barriers to entry. Although her narrative is unique, it connects her to many others struggling to navigate systems in the US––it is to them, that she dedicates her dreams, aspirations, and life work. She was also a Timber Creek alumni and honored through Forbes 30 Under 30.
Theatre and Literature
She comes to the theatre department through her research interests in the intersection of dramatic literature, performance history, and phenomenology and through her artistic interest in directing, theatre for small communities, and theatre for and with children. She is the founder and artistic director of Paper Sky Theatre in Grove City, PA. It is a nonprofit theatre that seeks to be a location for theatrical excellence, education, inclusion, and community development.
American Physician
Franklin Story Musgrave, M.D. is an American physician and a retired NASA astronaut. He has been on six spaced missions with NASA and earned a National Defense Service Medal.Today he operates a palm farm in Orlando, FL, a production company in Sydney and a sculpture company in Burbank, CA. He is also a landscape architect, a concept artist with Walt Disney Imagineering, an innovator with Applied Minds Inc. and a professor of design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Story also performs multimedia presentations on topics such as vision, leadership, motivation, safety, quality, innovation, creativity, design, simplicity, beauty and ecology.
