Theme: Alchemy

To act upon matter means to know it beyond the senses that not many have, which is why at TEDxTKMCE, it is an ‘idea worth spreading’.
An effort to share stories and ideas that portray and inspire the search for one’s own gold, TEDxTKMCE will be held under the theme ‘Alchemy’, the process of unlearning before learning and uprooting before becoming, to help the lead transform itself into gold. TEDxTKMCE, which is an independently organised TED event, will be held on the 11th of August, 2018 at Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering, Kollam, Kerala, India. The event includes live talks by eminent personalities, and screening of TED talks videos to spread ideas worth sharing.

Anuja Trehan Kapur

Criminal psychologist, social activist and advocate.

With degrees in psychology, criminology, and victimology Anuja Trehan Kapur has shared in-depth views in many high profile cases including the Kathua rape case. She has shared her expertise and knowledge on various sensitive issues like suicide, bullying, physical and mental assault etc.. Mrs. Kapur is also the founder of a non-governmental organization named 'Nirbhiya Ek Shakti', a center that provides victim assistance and is working against vitriolage. She is the recipient of a number of accolades including 'Best Criminal Psychologist', International Excellent Awards-2017.

Bose Krishnamachari

Bose Krishnamachari is an internationally acclaimed artist based in Mumbai. He is better known as the founder president as one of the most powerhouse art events in the world, Kochi Biennale. Enfa Rose George

Ms Enfa Rose George, a 20-year-old engineering student has a long list of achievements under her name. She is the founder of PEHIA, a gender diverse organisation that trains budding developers in IT. PEHIA was nominated for the Asianet Sthree Shakthi Awards 2018. She is also an active writer and blogger. She is actively involved in reducing the gender gap in the IT industry and has been associated with programs for the upliftment of transgenders. Her aim is to make the coding world more accessible for girls and improve their technological competency.

Nindya Miesye Agita Pasaribu

Youth Advocate

A prominent Indonesian figure in advocating the involvement of youth in social change, Agita has represented Indonesia in the International Young Women's Summit in Munich, UNFPA-Global Youth Forum and Asia Pacific Week at Australian National University. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Law from Universitas Indonesia and is doing her Master's in International Relations-ASEAN Studies at the University of Malaya. She was also awarded the Hansen Summer Institute fellowship from the University of San Diego and worked closely with the UN-IGF and Council of Europe on Youth and Democracy at Tac - Together against Cybercrime International. She was selected as the South East Asian Young Leader for the IISS-Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore and as the Indonesian delegate to the Nudge Global Impact challenge in Amsterdam.

The brand seamlessly embodies modern abstracts and traditional designs, making waves in the fashion realm. He believes in incorporating sustainable practices into his designs, that have turned heads at a number of events that include the prestigious Lakmé Fashion Week. Having worked with textiles in India and abroad, Sreejith Jeevan now works from his studio in Kochi, creating styles that derive from the spirit of the city.
