The theme of the event was that of the TED Live 2018, ‘The Age of Amazement’.
The times we live in witness a pace of life so rapid that pondering on existing ideas takes a backseat. While we are moving forward in our bid to catch up with the world, pausing for a moment to reflect on how far we have come would reveal how we, the descendants of the Stone Age have come to command the age of Silicon. As a civilization, we have spruced up our way of living, our mannerisms and have established a social construct. We adopt different systems of governance and are curious yet skeptical of our counterparts. From shocking revelations to scientific breakthroughs, we have seen them all. But what is remarkable about this age is that it always strives to amaze us more.
Under the banner of this theme, a session that consisted of some of the most diverse speakers and evocative performances, Session 10 “Personally Speaking” was chosen to stream at TEDxVITPuneLive 2018.
With a glorious mix consisting of an informal set-up, enthusiastic attendees, fun ice-breaking sessions, fascinating, quirky, inspiring talks, spectacular performances, personalized blindfolded conversations amongst the attendees, aesthetically set up warm lights, refreshments and lastly the familiar red, black and white themed merchandise, the event was a memorable treat to the heart and the mind.
