In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alex Gray

Alex Gray is an entrepreneur, student and president of the SDSU Human Powered Vehicle Team. At SDSU Alex combines his love of bicycles and engineering to build award winning vehicles.

Jacob York

Jacob York is a 7th grader at Mickelson Middle School. He moved to Brookings from Las Vegas Nevada. He is currently involved with Boy Scouts, Cross Country, and helps teach at church.

Serena An

Serena is a sophomore at Brookings High School and an instructor and founder of the Brookings Math Circle. Her passion is mathematics, and she loves helping others discover the intrigue of discrete mathematics. She competed at MATHCOUNTS Nationals and Math Prize for Girls, attended Canada/USA Mathcamp, and was a recipient of the 2017 Spirit of Ramanujan Award.
