Theme: Wireframing the Future!

TEDxBintawa embodies the spirit of ideas worth sharing through providing an authentic TEDx experience to the audience as much as possible and by including peoples from all walks of life to join us and share their ideas to a diverse set of audience. TEDxBintawa brings the theme of "Wireframing the Future!" which personify the pillars that binds together with which the future is built upon.

Among the topics that will be discussed is, Where do we stand?, What is the future of Ibu Pertiwiku?, How do we light up Borneo?, Who are the Smart Community?, Why do we need to preserve heritage content?, Data Driven Decision Making, Being focused makes you lose focus, Zero to SEO and Why your story matter?. These topics will be delivered by a diverse set of speakers with different backgrounds and experience, each with their own unique view of the world.

Ahmad Rusdi Shamshuddin

Certified Professional Trainer

His method in delivering trainings combines practical facilitating, fun and high energy activities and process. Combining all that with Neuro Linguistic Programming fundamentals and coaching methodology together with his jovial approach and humor making it easy for participants to relate and learn. Rusdi holds HRDF certified trainer license and Licensed Practitioner of NLP certification.

Andy Roy Sian

Blockchain Technology Evangelist and Business Development - Government, GLC and Higher Education at NEM Malaysia.

My main role will be to lead our Government, GLC and Higher Education Institutions relations and engagement in Malaysia, while my other role involves in assisting the creation of a vibrant Blockchain ecosystem in Malaysia with NEM Blockchain technology at the centre of it. On top of the above, I am NEM Malaysia's go-to-guy for Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei engagements.

Daniel Vong

Founder, Wangi Lai PLT

Daniel Vong, co-founder of Wangi Lai PLT that developed the BAWA Cane: Smart Cane for the Visually Impaired. Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics and Mechatronics) (Honours) and Bachelor of Computer Science graduate with a passion for almost anything. Daniel Vong participated in many global competitions and hackathons ranging from HydroContest – a contest to build the fastest, most energy efficient boat to Microsoft Imagine Cup – a global technology competition. He was the Engineering Lead of Microsoft Student Partners Malaysia FY16-17.

Hazwan Razak

Sarawak Multimedia Authority

Hazwan's bakcground is in oil and gas engineering, spending a chunk of his early career based on an oil rig. He is also a member of the International Development Design Network (IDIN), having worked on short term development projects globally. In his spare time, he helps run Youth Sarawak, an NGO he co-founded, that aims to build a community of proactive youth, through volunteering and education.

Ilona B Miles

Coach, Trainer and Speaker

"Your greatest weakness can be Your greatest strength - You decide, what You want". She is a certified trainer, coach and psycho-pedagogue. She have been going about motivational training, personal growth and interpersonal communication in life and business for over 12 years. Her mission is to lead people to their hearts where they can find answers for all questions.

Khairool Adzelan

Founder, Codelab Academy

Khairool started codelab academy - a learning centre for children to explore STEM through programming and robotics. Along the way he learned more than he could teach from the children interaction, and that's the most valuable lesson for him. This year onwards, the hopes to impact more from the community around him by making education more accessible throughout Sarawak.

Mohamad Hidayat Haider

Writer, Chemist, Diver

Hidayat obtained both his Bachelor in Science (Hons.) Chemistry (Forensic Science) and Diploma in Science (Physics) from Universiti Teknology MARA. Hidayat writes academic articles on chemistry and hoops from island to island for sucba diving. Currently Hidayat is focusing on his MSc. Iin Environmental Technology and help to create awareness for the Importance of understanding science education.

Muhammad Affiq Parthi

Corporate Secretarial Executive, Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad

Affiq parthi hails from Taman Matang Jaya, Kuching and is currently working with Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad. He is a law graduate from Universiti Teknologi MARA and finds passion in flying simulators, having clocked in more than 110 hours on two engine aircrafts and jetliners. He participates in volunteering works and bleieves that every one of us has stories worth telling and to him, that matters most.

Nigel Sim

Chumbaka is a social enterprise with the mission of complementing formal education by developing children's life skills through technology enrichment program. Chumbaka's goal is to reignite children's passion for learning. To date, they have trained over 15,000 students nationwide through various platforms such as the after-school program, holiday camp and annual young innovators challenge.
