Olympic Young Change-Maker
Martim Portugal Ramôa is in his early twenties and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management. Born and raised in Alentejo, Portugal he has been a fan of the Olympic Games since he was seven years old. And, after living in Greece to get in touch with the history and culture of the birthplace of this event, he was nominated Olympic Young Change-Maker for Portugal, in which function he currently represents his country at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. In this past year, he has been working closely with the International and Portuguese Olympic Committees, in order to prepare the Portuguese Mission to the event. Within this cooperation, he has kept a watchful eye on eSports and the Olympic debate surrounding them. He considers this industry to be extremely disruptive and wishes to raise awareness regarding this phenomenon.

Pedro Oliveira is Professor of Healthcare Innovation at Copenhagen Business School, Associate Professor at Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics (Leave of Absence) and Academic Fellow at the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures. He is the Founder and President of Patient Innovation (www.patient-innovation.com). At Católica-Lisbon he served as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research, Academic Director of the Lisbon MBA, and Director of the doctoral program in Technology Change and Entrepreneurship. He was also an International Faculty Fellow at MIT Sloan School of Management. He received his Ph.D. in Operations, Technology and Innovation Management from the U. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed additional advanced training at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Tim has had a varied number of business interests. His first own business was a micro brewery which he started in 1993, where he brewed one of the very first independent beers in South
Africa. He then sold the business and started looking for opportunities overseas.
In 2001 he moved to Angola where is business focus was mainly in the Media. The holding he founded grew to become one of the largest and most profitable Media holdings in the country.
In Portugal, Tim’s investments range from agriculture to technology. Tim is a partner in companies focused on the production of raspberries and blueberries (Green Meridien), distribution of Sci-Mx nutritional products (Refreshjump), power distribution (Luzboa), chauffeur services (DrivU) and many others activities.
In 2015, Tim got known from the Portuguese audience by participating as an investor on the first season of the Portuguese Shark Tank. Tim is also currently involved in real estate with the construction of eco-resorts.
