Dana Leong
Dana Leong is a two-time Grammy award-winning musician, composer, and producer. Considered by many to be the world's top electric cellist, he has also been referred to as the world’s top trombone player by members of the world-renowned Balkan Beat Box.
He has taught Jazz at Stanford University from the age of 16; been a guest musical director for Fela on Broadway; and has composed themes for international brands such as Hermès, Porsche and Mont Blanc. He composed the theme for Richard Branson's space launch for Virgin Galactic.
The TEKTONIK initiative led by Grammy award-winning sonic architect Dana Leong unites artists from around the globe who come from areas affected by major natural disasters.
HENRIK BEHA PEDERSEN
Henrik is the founder of Plastic Change; an international NGO based in Denmark working for an environment and ocean free of plastic. He holds a master in environmental biology and is specialized in cocktail effects of chemicals. For more than 20 years, the environment, and especially the toxic effects of chemicals, has been the centre of Henrik’s work. As a campaigner and later as the general manager of Greenpeace in Denmark Henrik contributed to the exposure of illegal export of electronics to Africa and to the successful implementation of the principle of substitution with harmless chemicals in REACH, the EU chemical regulation. Henrik is born with the ocean in his blood, and has sailed the seven seas on the Plastic Change Expedition, to document and raise awareness about plastic pollution.
In the last years Henrik has succeed in establishing Plastic Change as a key international actor fighting plastic pollution. With Plastic Change’s information campaigns going viral and reaching more than 50 million people the Plastic Change community is steadily increasing. Henrik Is not against plastic but believe we need to change the way we think about and manage this valuable resource. He has successfully shown how to onboard the plastic industry in Denmark and collectively under the SDG17 showed how to work with national and global partners on the transformation to a circular plastic economy.
Henrik has earned support from His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, The Danish Minister of Environment and a number of various foreign collaborators and experts. In 2017 Henrik won the Danish Plastic Prize and in 2018 Plastic Change won The Global Energy Award.
