إن مؤتمر #TEDxGirlsTechnicalCollegeInTaif هو مؤتمر عالمي تنظمه الكلية التقنية للبنات بالطائف الفترة المقبلة بإشراف مرخص من شركة TED العالمية وذلك بهدف نشر عدد من الأفكار المهمة والملهمة من خلال خطب تلقيها عدد من المتحدثات من محافظة الطائف. تعتبر الكلية التقنية للبنات بالطائف أول جهة رسمية تحصل على الترخيص العالمي على مستوى المحافظة. كما أنها تعتبر أول كلية تقنية نسائية و ثاني كلية تقنية تحصل على الترخيص العالمي على مستوى الكليات والمعاهد التقنية التابعة للمؤسسة العامة للتدريب التقني والمهني.
إن الكلية التقنية للبنات بالطائف لتتشرف بتنظيم مثل هذا الحدث العالمي في حرمها إذ أنه من شأنه إبراز الدور الفاعل والكبير الذي تلعبه محافظة الطائف بجهاتها الحكومية وبدعم تقدمه الجهات الخاصة في دعم الملتقيات الثقافية والريادية، وكذلك في دفع دفة التعاون والشراكة بين هذه الجهات على مستوى كافة الأصعدة لتحقيق الآمال والطموحات التي يتطلع لها أبناء وبنات المجتمع الطائفي. وتسعى الكلية التقنية للبنات بالطائف إلى تعريف المجتمع المحلي بثقافة التيد وخطبه المؤثرة، وكذلك إلى إلهامه بأفكار واختراعات واستنتاجات توصلت إليها عدد من الشخصيات المحلية التي لعبت دورا منهما -وقد يكون مغيبا-في مجالات متنوعة بعد مرورهم بتجارب فريدة.
