In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

His interest has been in innovational solution in turnaround of existing network industries and the large infrastructural development requirement thereof. He has been involved in consulting and operation of utilities.

EYO EKPO

Lawyer/Management expert.

Eyo is a lawyer (UNiCal 1987), he also has Certificates in business management, utilities regulation, strategic management of regulatory/enforcement agencies and international gas business and LNG management and degrees in Laws and War Studies from universities in Nigeria, Great Britain and the United States. He joined the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), 2001, where he was Team Leader, Power Sector Reform Team (PSRT). He led the PSRT in designing and starting the implementation of the electric power sector reform programme. Eyo has served as Attorney-General/Commissioner for Justice and later as Special Adviser, Special Projects, Cross River State (August 2003 – May 2010). He was also Team Leader, Regulatory and Transactions Team, Presidential Task Force on Power (June – December 2010) before he became Commissioner, Market Competition and Rates, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), December 2010 – March 2015.

He started as a management consultant with Accenture,Vice President Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking in New York and Washington D.C,Chief Financial Officer/ Head of Strategy Transnational Corporation Plc,Special Assistant to ex- President of Nigeria. Okigbo holds Executive Masters in Public Administration, London School of Economics and Political Science, Masters in Business Administration, Emory University,Atlanta (Graduation Class Speaker). Undergraduate degree was in Agriculture, University of Nigeria (Dept.BGS).Board member of national and international organisations with interests in real estate, technology, communication, and power.
