Benerdette Muyomi
Women Rights Advocate
Bernadette Muyomi is unapologetically an advocate for women’s rights and has demonstrated this through multi faceted work in employment and organizations she has founded like the African Grassroots Development Organization, Green Agri Ventures and imarisha Network Enterprises. Her work has been recognized in both locally and internationally.
She is a beneficiary of: Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Award, Top 40 Under 40 women of influence in Kenya 2016, Global Change Leaders in Canada, Young African Leaders Initiative, International Visitors Learning Program and Inclusive Employment Fellowship both in the USA. She served as a county executive in Busia County in 2013-2017.
Edwin Chege

Edwin Chege is a Nairobi urbanite with a love and passion for his city. A community oriented youth, Edwin has been involved in a variety of community outreach and engagement activities.
Edwin served as Team Coordinator for Vijana Amkeni, a youth led community based organization, and was pivotal in organizing its signature event, The Free Speech Series, which brought together youth from different Kenyan varsities to discuss matters of national importance
in Kenya.
Edwin has also been active in the Africa International Affairs Centre, a student-focused think tank on Kenyan and African foreign policy matters. A lover of conversation, Edwin enjoys engaging on matters involving youth, culture, development and urbanization, maintaining the firm belief that everyone has a unique story to tell.
Florence Kisombe
Model, Activist for Rights of People with Albinism, Motivational Speaker.
Florence Kisombe is a young woman passionate about sustainability issues and specifically SDG 10 – Reducing Inequalities within and among countries. Assenting to the need of fighting for human rights and especially persons with albinism, she has been vocal through the work she does in her local community. Over the past five years, Florence has joined efforts with different organizations such as; Colour Kwa Face Albinism Foundation among others in spreading awareness across the country about albinism and the need to embrace albinism as normal.
Florence also enjoys fashion, Modelling, motivational speaking and mentorship to young people both with and without albinism, as other ways to spread positive vibes about albinism. To date she remains dedicated to the cause.
She is a graduate from university of Nairobi with a bachelor degree in Diplomacy and International Relations and an alumnus of the YALI Leadership Program.

In 2009, and at size 14, Francisca enrolled as a model in a
local agency. Throughout her career, she received very few
casting calls which led her to question the low demand for
plus size models.
Francisca founded Plus Fabulosity in 2013 as an outfit to
exclusively cater to the plus size community in Kenya. The business currently offers professional plus size modeling services, produces an online magazine and organizes exclusive plus size niche events; more particularly the Kenya Plus Size Fashion Weekend (KPSFW) and Miss Plus Size Kenya (MPSK).
She has been featured by both local and international press through which she has actively advocated for representation of the plus size community in fashion and lifestyle.

One of Mukami’s main vocational interests is Psychoanalysis and how that influences policies and law.

Shivani Bhalla
Founder- Ewaso Lions
Shivani is a fourth generation Kenyan who believes the key to lion conservation is working in partnership with local communities. She founded Ewaso Lions in 2007, where she works with communities to promote coexistence between people and wildlife. Shivani, with her team, have created successful community programmes including Warrior Watch, Mama Simba and Lion Kids Camps.
Shivani has a PhD in Zoology from University of Oxford, an MSc in Wildlife Conservation from Napier University and a BSc in Environmental Science from Lancaster University.
Shivani’s commitment to Kenya’s lions has earned her a Whitley Award, Rabinowitz-Kaplan Prize for the Next Generation in Wild Cat Conservation award, Africa’s Young Women Conservation Biologist award, the Virginia McKenna Award for Compassionate Conservation, and she has been named an Emerging Explorer by National Geographic.
