TOPIC DESCRIPTION: Extending Healthspans… what does it mean? Advances in medicine and lifestyle research promise to dramatically increase our “healthy” longevity. Some suggest that babies born today may even live for 150 years. As we prepare to shift into a society increasingly of age, we must begin to think in terms of extending healthspans. How do we age “healthy”… and what can we hope for our later years to be like? Can we alter the aging process in order to prevent, delay, or cure the chronic diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s that afflict almost all of us, as we grow older? How does nutrition, good stress and exercise affect aging? Join our panel and get an encouraging look at the state of aging, dementia research, and extended healthy life. Learn how aging impacts our minds and bodies, and the surprising role stress may play in bettering our later years.

On Thursday May 10th we take a deeper dive into healthspans of the future, to explore psychological, social, and behavioral pathways that link chronic psychological stress and cellular aging.
