André Staltz
André is developing software for the new Internet, and blogs about the current macroscopic changes in Cyberspace. He wrote viral blog posts such as "The Web began dying in 2014", "A plan to rescue the Web from the Internet", and "Layers of the Internet Economy". He works as an open source programmer funded by donations, and is developing a free and decentralized social network for phones, together with other pioneers. André also teaches programming through workshops and conference talks, having had spoken at dozens of conferences around Europe.
With 7 years of professional experience in software engineering, internet entrepreneurship, open source peer-to-peer systems, and mobile app user interfaces, André has a holistic view of the industry. He graduated MSc in Computer Science (Distributed Systems) from Aalto University (Finland) and BSc in Computational Mathematics from UFMG (Brazil).
Area Jeune Ballet
Created in 2014, the Area Jeune Ballet offers an outstanding educational, stimulating and inspiring framework for semi-professional dancers, aged 17 to 22 years old. Multicultural and engaged, it brings together talented young dancers from all over the world: Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, England, Poland, Brasil, Cuba and Argentina.

Carolien Niebling
Following her bachelor degree at the ArtEZ Arnhem Academy of Visual Arts in 2007, Carolien worked for several years as a freelance designer in various fields. Then she started in 2012 the Master in Product Design at ECAL, Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, Switzerland, to explore and specialize in food and research related design. After her graduation in 2014, she became assistant for the Master Product Design at ECAL. Additionally, she worked on her research project called "The Sausage of the Future", which has been awarded the Grand Prix at the Design Parade, Hyères, and the Hublot Design Prize, both in 2017. Companies she worked with: SIGG (during ECAL), Woolmark (during ECAL), Nestlé, HES-SO, Rabobank, and the Dutch Design Week.
Carolien’s work creates a bridge between science and food, using design as the medium to do so. Food is fascinating because it is an ever-evolving substance where development will never stop.
Lutz Weischer
Lutz Weischer is Team Leader - International Climate Policy at Germanwatch, a development and environment NGO with offices in Bonn and Berlin. He leads a team analyzing the state of the international climate negotiations and advocating for solutions that protect the interests of those most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change and that promote a transformation towards zero-carbon and climate-resilient societies. His work focuses in particular on climate change mitigation and finance. Prior to his work for Germanwatch, he worked as a research analyst for the World Resources Institute in Beijing, Washington and Frankfurt on renewable energy financing, innovation policy, technology cooperation and the links between trade and climate policy. He holds a Master in International Affairs with a specialization in sustainable development from Sciences Po Paris and a diploma in political science from FU Berlin.
Mathilde Chevee
After 15 years in management positions in Marketing and Innovation in major telecommunications groups and aerospace, Mathilde is now dedicated to the prevention of risky behaviors in adolescents. She accompanies young people who are dropping out of school and intervenes as a marketing and social innovation consultant with associations. She is founder of OKAIROS.life, an association committed to the development of new prevention strategies by teens for teens using new technologies. Mathilde is also Marie Deputy, delegate to the Youth Service of Marie de Saint Julien en Genevois and has been co-chair of the Swiss association of Professionals Consultants against Violence in Switzerland.
Narjis Hilale
Narjis Hilale is a citizen of the world, passionnate about women empowerment. She has lived in Europe, Asia, Americas and Africa. She has 15 years experience working for major FMCG multinationals and UN organizations (Shell, P&G, JTI, Firmenich, Singtel, Vivendi, WIPO) in global leadership positions.

Patrick Donaldson
Fascinated by science and art at a young age, Patrick first began his studies by specialising in physics and chemistry. Along the way, he found himself drawn to the creative arts. Finding the approach more intriguing, he decided to carry on down that path. He completed a Bachelor’s in visual communication, followed by a Master’s in media design at the University of Art and Design in Geneva (HEAD). Along the way, he worked on simulating experiences of the Aztec afterlife and the creation of serious games to teach particle physics.
Self-taught in creative coding, Patrick works at the intersection of design, programming, and science. Currently freelancing, his ambitions are to explore the potential of new technologies in the world of design.
Samantha Slade
Samantha is driven by the transition to future paradigms. With a background in anthropology, she pioneers novel organizational models and practices. Ten years ago she cofounded two businesses – Percolab, an international co-creation and co-design company and Ecto a co-working cooperative in her home city Montreal, Canada. Samantha works with governments, startups, and professional associations and foundations to tackle their complex challenges. She also co-creates commons based collective impact initaitives and platforms.
Engaged in the commons and social innovation movements, Samantha is currently writing a book - Going Horizontal – Creating a Non-hierarchical Organization, One Practice at a Time (to be released in October 2018 with Berrett-Koehler Publishers). Samantha believes that organizations can be a microcosm of the world we want to live in.
Xavier Oberson
Xavier Oberson is Professor of Swiss and International Tax Law at the University of Geneva since 1994. After his studies at the University of Geneva where he obtained a law degree, a Master of Advanced Studies and a Doctorate (PhD) in law in 1990, he pursued his studies and research at the Harvard Law School where he finalized a LLM and also completed the International Tax Program (ITP) in 1992.
In addition, he is member of the Board of the Montreux Jazz Festival, President of the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation and of the “Centre d’Art Contemporain” (Contemporary Art Center) in Geneva.
In 2012, he was awarded the “Step Private Client Awards. The Geoffrey Schindler Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Profession”.
