Caden Hergott
Student
I am a 12 year old student of Mar Jok Elementary. I enjoy singing, dancing and being involved with the Kelowna Actors Studio. I have recently started learning how to code / program and find that pretty fascinating. And when I do have free time, I enjoy spending it with my friends and family. My favourite musical is Alexander Hamilton because the music engages me and its saying that anyone, even an orphan immigrant can leave their footprints and rise up. I live in a family of 6 people my three sisters my mom and dad and me. My family has been so helpful and I am so lucky that I have the opportunities that I have. I feel very fortunate to have been chosen to share my idea with all of you today.

I am a kind person and I never give up. I love to sing and be close to nature and find them both calming. There are a lot of physical activities that I have enjoyed. The ones that have been the most fun participating in are: Irish dance, golf, horseback riding, baseball, tennis, musical theatre, springboard diving and swimming.
Learning new things, reading and creative writing are ways I spend my spare time. Like most kids my age, I include time for computer games too. People close to me are my Mom and Dad, they support me and who I am. My contribution to society is that I always smile at a person as they walk by, it can make their day and inspire them to make someone else’s day better too.The most important Value to me is to always be kind, that goes a long way!

On the weekend, you could find her sitting at the kitchen table doing art, testing out new recipes in the kitchen, or lying in her bed with a migraine watching Netflix. In the future, if being a crazy cat lady doesn’t work out, Greta would like to teach art or theater to kids or become an art therapist.

I think I'm funny sometimes and I do A LOT of thinking. I'm a pretty creative person and play a few instruments but not very well. I'm involved in leadership and theatre production at school. I enjoy solving/reading mysteries and I'm a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes. I love making new friends and meeting new people but I always end up in the comfort of my own home with a hot cup of tea and a good book. My Instagram feed has become an “accidental aesthetic” due to my growing interest in photography.
Kali Halvorson
Student
I recently just moved here from a farm in Peace River Alberta. Even back in Peace River I was interested in creating a positive impact. I’m in grade 9 now and continue to volunteer and such. I spend most of my free time either studying or bringing characters to life by drawing. I love sports and am a competitive person, so I always strive for the best. My main sport is figure skating, but I’m not afraid to break a nail, as I like to ride dirt bikes and just be a farm kid.
