In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Andrian Chan

Andrian studied at Sha Tin College for many years, and gave this talk whilst in Year 13. He has great interests in musical, theatrical, and public speaking activities, and successfully graduated from the IB Diploma. Andrian is now training to be a doctor in Hong Kong, and keen to improve the quality of lives in the territory through his future work with patients.

Harsha Madhu

Harsha is a gifted young student whom until recently studied at Sha Tin College, Hong Kong, before moving overseas. She displays a precocious awareness of technology and its wider implications on human progress. She has successfully built programs and developed software, and is undoubtedly a rising star of the future in this field.

Jennifer Yu

Jennifer was for many years a Sha Tin College student. She played a leading role in many school activities, and was a keen member of the Student Council. Jennifer has a passion for public-speaking regarding social issues, and is a highly-respected student by her peers and teachers.

Jonathan Zein

Jonathan is a High School senior who has an interest in the sciences and technology. He has created and managed three different websites, and his experience in working with such websites has led him to learn more about the Internet and become more interested in it.
