Shashank Venkatesh
Student
I am Shashaank A. Venkatesh, a 11th grader at CHIREC International School. I founded and am currently heading a public interest educational research NGO, the ASAP Corporation. I am also a published author, a voracious reader, and someone who can talk for hours about literally anything. In my free time, I love cracking terrible puns, writing philosophical poems, solving math problems, debating how to annex China, shredding metal music on the guitar or fanboying over Donald Trump. I have participated in 20 MUNs and have spoken at over 60 events across the city. I am an aspiring biomedical engineer, and my dream college is MIT or CalTech. I have interned at the Tata Institute for Fundamental Research in the summer of 2018, working in biophysics research. I have published three scientific papers in various journals, in the areas of virology, biophysics and theoretical physics.
Tejaswi Polimetla
Student
I'm currently a sophomore at Oakridge International School in the MYP program. I am incredibly passionate about art and the field of physics. I am always painting, sometimes for hours on end or reading articles about the latest advancements and discoveries in physics. In future, I aspire to work in a field which allows me to blend these two interests such as architecture. When I'm not geeking out about art and physics, you can find me reading a book, playing chess or watching a romcom.
