Mohit and Himanshu are 21-year-old students of final year engineering based out of Delhi.
Builders of Stories Worth Sharing, the duo built a pan India network using the existing tech tools and social media to integrate the idea of storytelling with a modern fusion of the postcard culture. In less than a year, Stories Worth Sharing spread to 65+ Indian cities starting from March 2017. Having hosted more than 3k people at their 75+ sessions, SWS is offering a safe platform for commoners to share their set of stories.
With a vision to go global, these college boys are slowly taking entire India high on the drug of stories.
Scientist
Mr. Nitin Maurya, a scientist at the National Innovation Foundation-India, works with innovators in the informal sector who develop frugal innovations at the grassroots. He will share his experiences and learning working with these innovators, and illustrate how small ideas when transformed into reality, can bring about a major change in the lives of a large section of the population.
Entrepreneur
Mr. Rewaj Chettri, the CEO of NE Taxi will present his journey from a student pursuing a degree in Forestry to becoming one of the foremost start-up gurus and a leading youth icon of the country by translating new concepts into brilliant business ideas. And it is because of this individual, the state of Sikkim has shown the way to deal with such constraints by creating a start-up atmosphere despite problems owing to locational remoteness, lack of proper infrastructure and communication bottlenecks.
Entrepreneur
Riddhinil Roy is a Guwahati-born & Bangalore-made entrepreneur. Been the founder & CEO of Connec8ive+, an integrated campus dashboard app since his early college days when he was pursuing BE from Bengaluru. His first startup connec8ive+ which was meant to solve the utility queries of a campus student in one platform, was recognized by Hay Group as the next big 100 startups from India in 2014. In the meantime, he also co-founded Biocognizance, a life sciences-biotech based startup which was recently acquired by a German company, K-Biosciences from Bremen in an all-stock deal.
At NE8x, Riddhinil and his team is leading for a whole new ecosystem change for making Assam and Northeast India investment friendly for innovative entrepreneurs and a wider societal encouragement system in the domain of entrepreneurship of making the youth "job creators".
Faculty of Enginnering
Dr. Sandeep Singh is one of the most revered faculty members of NERIST. He pursued his doctoral studies in Machine Design with a specialisation in Rotor Dynamics from IIT-G. He joined NERIST in 2001 and continues serving there as a faculty of Mechanical engineering. He is also a certified auditor for the TQI. Dr. Singh has 4 SCI journals and has presented 21 papers in national and international conferences. His research interest is focused in the field of Tribology, rotor dynamics with emphasis on Conceptual Machine Design & Development.
