Theme: Outbound

In TEDxHimi 2016 our theme was inspired by eco-friendly, sustainable fishing method Set-net-fishing ‘passively active’.
In 2017 we focuses on passive, so ‘Inner space’ was made.
In 2018, we focus on ‘Active’, so it reminds us outgoing, expand, something going toward outside.
So we decided ‘Outbound’ is TEDxHimi 2018 theme.

ようこそTEDxHimi2018へ！

氷見の定置網漁にインスパイアされたPassively ActiveからスタートしたTEDxHimi2016。 昨年はPassiveを追求したテーマのInnerspaceと続き、 2018年はActiveをさらに力強く進めて、Outboundとなりました。

あらゆるしがらみから ”解放” させて、皆が本来持っている内に秘めたものを自分らしく出して行きたいと思います。 今年はどんな Ideas worth spreading を体験していただけるのか、皆さんのアイデアも一緒に Outboundしてみませんか。

人間本来の速さ、歩く。そして走る、泳ぐ、叫ぶ、飛ぶ。もっと遠くへ。
遥か水平線より太陽が昇り、彼方地平線へと太陽が沈む。
生きることを生きる者だけが感じられる、天と地へと稲妻が駆け抜けるような閃光と波動。
吸引、燃焼、排気、太古の類人猿が産まれて初めて見つめた燃えさかる炎。
まるで生命そのものじゃないか。そうか、私たちは、炎だったのだ。

Midget Pro-Wrestler/ Actor

プリティ太田 身長、139cm。体重、48kg。 低身長症に悩みながらも、テレビの中やリングの上で活躍する「小人プロレス＝ミゼットプロレス」に希望を見出し、２６歳の時に全日本女子プロレスに入門。 しかし翌年に全女が解散。「全女最後の新人」となる。 その後、様々な団体で活動するも、メディアなどでは「小人プロレス＝ミゼットプロレス」自体がタブーとされ、知る人ぞ知る存在に。 一方、2011年の蜷川幸雄演出・寺山修司作『身毒丸』に出演以降、映画や演劇界が注目。俳優として活躍する。 Pretty Oota hight:139cm weight: 48kg Oota has been surrfering from dwarfism for a long time. One day he found “Midget Pro-Wrestling” show on TV and he thought it will be his hope. Then he joined All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling team when she was 26. But next year, the team was disbanded. so he became the team’s final newcomer. After the team’s disbanding, he worked with various organizations. But “midget Pro-Wrestling” itself became Taboo for many media. On the other hand, he started his career as actor from “Midoku Maru”, 2011, directed by Yukio Abukawa and written by Shuji Terayama. Now he acts as an actor.

Izumi Makoto

Artist

和泉誠 4人兄弟の次男。 美術大学を卒業後、大学助手、専門学校や美術教室の講師をしながら絵画作品の制作発表を続ける。 結婚を機に売れない絵を描き続けることを諦め、オーダーで美術作品の制作をしていくことを生業とする。 長女の誕生後、美術を通しどう子どもと関わって行くかを考え、イタリアで生まれた幼児教育実践法を学ぶ。 子育ての面白さ、子どもの表現の豊かさにもっと関わりたいと考え、絵画教室を皮切りに保育ママ施設、小規模保育施設を創設。今ではアートな保育で注目される「こどもなーと」という6つの保育施設を運営。 Izumi Makoto After graduated from university of art, he became a teacher of art collages. Furthermore, he sometimes released his art pictures. But when he got married, he gave up making unselling pictures and start dropping made-to-order art works. Years later, his daughter was born. So he considered what he can do for children through art. To find the answer, he went to Italy and learned practical art education method. Starting with the painting classroom, he created a nursery mother facility and a small-scale childcare facility after he found the fun of parenting and the richness of children’s expressions. Today, he operates six nursery facilities named “codomonoart”, which is attracting attention in art-care education.

Keiko Yagi

Film Director

八木 景子 ハリウッド・メジャー映画会社の日本支社勤務後、自身の会社「合同会社八木フィルム」を設立。 タブー視されていた捕鯨問題を取り扱った初監督作品『ビハインド・ザ・コーヴ』は、自費400万円を投じ撮影・編集・監督を一人で担当。 世界8大映画祭の一つ「モントリオール世界映画祭」に正式出品され、国内・海外の多くの大手メディアに取り上げられる。 日本で公開後、強力な反捕鯨国アメリカでも劇場公開を果たし、反捕鯨団体の幹部らとコミュニケーションも計り波紋を呼ぶ。 今では23言語版となり、189ヶ国世界中へ配信中。 Keiko Yagi After working at the Japan branch of Hollywood’s film company, she established Yagi filim LLC. For her first movie as a film director, she directed, edited, shoot, and expended $40000 by herself. The movie titled “Behind the Cove” the subject of whale conservation which considering taboo. Since this movie was exhibited at Montreal World Film Festival, it received great attention of media.

Kentaro Kusakari

1973年大阪府生まれ カンサイ建装工業株式会社・日之出塗装工業株式会社 代表取締役 ２００５年に脚本家を目指し米国に留学中だった妹が殺害される。 一時期は犯人をどうやって殺してやろうかばかり考えていたが、考え続ける中で犯罪者を減らさなければと考え、再犯に注目。 少年院、刑務所出所者に仕事と親のような存在を与えて再犯防止を目指す「職親プロジェクト」に尽力。 裏切られてもあきらめないをモットーに、嘘をつかれても金を持ち逃げされても、決してあきらめることなく日々努力している。 Born in Osaka in 1973 Representative director of Hinode Peeling Industry Co., Ltd and Kansai Construction Industry Co., Ltd. A sister who was studying abroad in the United States to be a screenwriter was killed in 2005. He was only thinking about how to kill the murderer for a while. But thinking that we should reduce criminals while keeping considering, and paying attention to repeat offenses. Even if he was run away with his money or even if he was betrayed, he was trying hard everyday without giving up.

Schu Kawashima

Professor

川嶋舟 東京農業大学農学部准教授。獣医学博士。 医療、福祉、教育などの領域で、動物を利活用する動物介在療法の研究に従事し、特に馬を介在動物として用い、社会復帰のための支援をする「乗馬療法」を専門とする。 さらに、担い手が不足する農業分野と介護を受ける人の就労場所が不足する福祉分野とが連携することで新たな事業をつくりだす「農福連携」によって、就労での自立が困難な人のための働く場所をつくる就労支援プログラムの開発にも尽力し、介護に蚕を使う「訪問カイコ」は成果を上げている。 Schu Kawashima Doctor of Veterinary and Associate Professor, Faculty of Agriculture, Tokyo University of Agriculture. He studied Animal-assisted therapy, which utilizes animal in the fields of medicine, welfare, and education. Particularly, he specializes in “horse riding therapy” which supports rehabilitation in society. He also has been working “agriculture welfare cooperation” which rearing silkworm in business to create work place for patients who are difficult to work independently. His work helps improvement of both agricultural industry which struggling with luck of worker, and welfare industry which people are difficult to find a work place.

Takayuki Miyazawa

東京生まれ兵庫育ち 東京大学理科２類から東京大学農学部畜産獣医学科に進学。 平成 2年に獣医師国家試験合格 その後、東京大学大学院に進み修業年限短縮修了（東京大学における初の制度適用） 研究姿勢はウイルスから生命現象を探る、特に、ウイルスを単なる病原体して捉えることなく「地球生命全体からウイルスの存在意義を考察する」。 コアラ、サル、ウシ、猫と研究対象は多岐にわたる。 51歳で始めたピアノを愛し、今一番欲しいモノは「ベヒシュタインのアップライトピアノ」。 Born in Tokyo and raised in Hyogo From the University of Tokyo natural science 2 to the Department of Livestock Veterinary Medicine, University of Tokyo Faculty of Agriculture. Passed the veterinarian national examination in 1990. After that, he got master degree of Tokyo University to complete shortening of the term of study (This is the first case of University of Tokyo). His research attitude is to explore life phenomena from viruses. In particular to “”consider the significance of virus existence from the whole earth life””, observing the virus not as a simple pathogen. His research subjects are vary widely, e.g. Koalas, monkeys, cattle and cats. He also loves the piano which he started to play at 51.

Yasuhiro Hikiami

Japanese confectionery craftsman

「引網香月堂」四代目店主。 高校卒業後、東京の製菓学校で学ぶ。 卒業後に師匠 佐々木勝氏のお店、千葉の「菓匠 京山」で修業を始める。 四年間の研鑽の後に、東京の名店「一炉庵」で修業を重ねる。 2000年に富山へ戻り、2012年、日本で唯一の和菓子職人認定制度「選•和菓子職」に北陸で初めて認定される。 近年では、首都圏での百貨店イベント、地元富山大学での和菓子講座の講師、台湾・マレーシア現地での和菓子文化のPR活動など、和菓子の魅力を発信中。”

Yoshihiro Mizutani

大阪府八尾市のダンボール製造メーカー「J パックス㈱」代表取締役。 東日本大震災直後に段ボールベッドを考案し支援活動を開始。 東北３県と台風１２号の避難所５０ヶ所以上を訪問し、これまでに３千床を提供。 その後、どこの段ボール業者でも作れるように段ボールベッドの設計図をオープンソースにし、日本中、どこで何が起こっても、避難所には段ボール製簡易ベッドが届くという仕組みを作る。 今は避難所の環境改善に取り組み、段ボールベッド供給の仕組みを全国に構築することで避難所での２次健康被害の低減を目指している。 “Yoshihiyo Mizutani CEO of the cardboard manufacturer J Packs.inc in Yatsuo, Osaka. He started volunteering with the invention “card board bed” in Great East Japan Earthquake. He has been supplying 3000 cardboard beds to over 50 shelters not only in East Japan, but Typhoon affected areas. Moreover, he has been opened the blueprint to the other cardboard manufacturers around Japan to be able to assemble the cardboard bed in every shelter in Japan. For now, to decrease secondary health damage at the shelters, he works hard to expand the cardboard bed system to all around Japan that would lead involve the environment of the shelters.
