Theme: Nombrando el futuro

Esta temática hace referencia a la falta de espacios que hay en México para que los jóvenes de entre 13 y 26 años difundan sus ideas. Es momento de ponerle nombre y rostro a todos aquellos que estarán representando a nuestras comunidades, ciudades y países en el mundo del mañana; por que el futuro es hoy y es ahora.

Armando Palacios Audirac

Architecture, art and public space.

Armando is a Mexican architect from the Universidad Iberoamericana. Its main focus of study is the relationship between art and public space and the impact they can have on people's lives. His practice has been multidisciplinary, mixing art with architecture in projects such as the Migrant Route Memorial, Mi Casa Mi Casa and the Hope Pavillion. He has exposed his graphic works alongside other emerging artists, and has various articles published.

Benjamín Aguilar León

Electronics

Benjamín Aguilar León is originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. He studied elementary school in Article 123 where he created his first robot. He went to high school in CBTis No. 26 where he discovered another of his great passions besides making robots, karate, which inspired him to make robots with he competed in Robomatrix for 2 consecutive years. he didn't obtained places in the medal table in robotics, but in karate he got a 3rd place in Central Americans, despite this he continued to develop robots as his greatest passion and was in 5th. Semester of high school when he began to develop a myoelectric prosthesis called BIOARM. When he entered the university at the National Polytechnic Institute, he continued to develop the prosthesis, which generated a second version called BAIROM and which is still under development to date.

David Allegre

Youtuber, Journalist & Entertainer

David Allegre is a journalist, youtuber and entertainer born in Mexico City. His work has been published in several magazines such as V magazine and Harper's Bazaar. After doing PR for several brands he ended up working for communications team for MTVLatAm. In 2012 he started his youtube channel "Los Jonas Vloggers" alongside Mickey Cundapí and Luis Rivas. The lifestyle vlog, that followed the antics of the trio, became known for it's celebrity cameos making it one of the most influential youtube channels amongst LGBT youth in Latin America. In recent years Allegre has focused more on TV apperances, theatre and film.

Jimena Huerta García de León

Student, volunteer and activist on behalf of women, that wants to share her experience of living with an eating disorder.

Jimena was born in Mexico City in 1999. She had a fairly normal life with her ups and downs. She started ballet classes at age 4 and continued dancing until she was 15 years old. When she was 5 her parents got divorced. Since then, and by being an only child, Jimena learned to be alone for long periods of time, she enjoyed imagining fantastic realities where she was an independent, intelligent and confident woman. Everything was fine, until puberty arrived and all of her reality transformed, she began to be self-conscious of her body image and her role in society, that's when she started dieting, overeating, vomiting and over exercising. Seven years later, Jimena keeps working on having a balanced life, a healthy relationship with food, overcoming her anxiety and loving herself with her imperfections.

José Antonio Murillo Dagdug

Competitive debater

As a competitive debater, José Antonio Murillo (1999) has represented Mexico in multiple international tournaments, including the World Schools Debating Championships, where he earned the award of 7th best speaker in English as a Second Language. Also, in 2016 he was Captain of Team Mexico at the USA Nationals. His debating experience has inspired him to use his leadership positions in his community to seek change through discourse and dialogue. Additionally, Jose has a strong interest in economics and computer science, which has encouraged him to develop a java-based macroeconomics simulator and to research inconsistencies in currency markets and ADR trades. José Antonio will graduate from Harvard College in 2022 and plans to major in both of these disciplines.

José Manuel Gómez González

Architecture + Street Art + Muralism

JM (26) studied architecture in Mexicali, Baja California, México, but he decided to take part of the muralism movement because he wanted to change the perspective of the people about street art. Since then he has actively participate in festivals, expositions, and diferent kind of activities to promote art and give messages about the impact and importance of do what you love the most. In his case, to paint everywhere with his signature style.

Karen Itzel Altamirano Hernández

Animal Rigths

Karen Altamirano is a Mexican photojournalist and animal rights activist. She is known for her photography project documenting zoo animals. She had spent the last six years defending animals. Her work has been dedicated to creating social media strategies and visual content like photography and video.

Luis Ángel Gómez Jaramillo

Luis Angel Gomez Jaramillo is a Mexican singer who dedicates itself to traditional "mariachi" music. At his very young age he was a contestant in The Voice Kids Mexico and managed to become the voice of "Miguel" in Disney Pixar movie "Coco" for Latin America and Spain.

Natalia Rivera Díaz

Law student, human rights activist and volunteer in favour of native communities in Mexico.

Natalia Rivera was born in Mexico City in 1998. She was a normal girl, with many friends and with a healthy life until she turned 12 and after a series of wrong decisions made by her, thinking only in a way to be more accepted she confronted herself until a point she was almost on the limit. Now, nine years later, she realizes that what happened to her was a great opportunity to change her values and face bigger problems, so she wants to share her experience so people can accept and star working on solutions.
