Benjamin Gans

Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Benjamin Gans graduated from Raytown High School. He attended the University of Colorado-Boulder for a semester before returning home to complete his undergraduate studies of pre-medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. While at CU-Boulder, he competed on the rowing team. After transferring, he applied his experiences from Colorado to founding a competitive rowing team at UMKC between his studies and other hobbies. For his TEDxRockhill talk, he shares a few key insights he discovered during his trials in establishing the rowing team.
