Theme: thinking ABOUT the box

The theme “thinking ABOUT the box” addresses limits, pushes limits and questions limit based thinking. It is based on the idea that when you grow up people around you tend to tell you that the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside this world. People explain the meaning of a good life: have a settled family, earn some money, travel, have kids and enjoy. But that’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you realize one simple fact, “Everything around you that you call life was built by people who were no smarter than you and me”. That’s when you realize that you can influence the life around you, can make your own things and improve the world around you. That’s the time when you start to think outside the box.

Dr. Lakshmi Saleem

Dr. Lakshmi Saleem is a trained and qualified plastic surgeon practicing since 1984. She along with her husband has opened a hospital, SALAJA, with the motive of helping people who cannot afford expensive medical procedures. She has published more than 25 scientific papers in National and International conferences. She is the author of the first book ever written in India on Cosmetic Surgery. She has shared her life experiences in her autobiography "DREAMS, DETERMINATION AND TRIUMPHS".

Ishita Katyal

Ishita Katyal is a child author, born in the year 2005 and a TED speaker from Vibgyor High School in Pune. Katyal is the youngest organizer of the TEDx Youth events in the Asia Pacific region. She delivered a talk , titled "What do you want to be now" at the TED Youth conference. She is the author of the book Simran's Diary.

Major General S.K. Razdan

Major General S.K. Razdan KC VSM is a recipient of Kirti Chakra, the second highest peacetime Gallantry Award of our country and also Vishisht Seva Medal(VSM) for his "distinguished service of an exceptional order". He is the first wheelchair bound officer to be given the rank of a Major General in the history of Indian Army.

Melvin Louis

Melvin Louis, a passionate dancer from Mumbai who introduced his own kind of dance styles and is one of the most sought after dancer by the young aspiring dancers of the country, whose YouTube history is filled with the videos by Melvin's Academy.

She advocates breaking stereotypes by fearlessly challenging conventional societal norms with her bold choices in her acting career.
