In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ersin Oztoycan

Information Assistant

Born in 1963, Ersin Oztoycan was raised in the UK. The greater part of her life has been devoted to raising awareness of Dyslexia (Specific learning Difficulty) in Cyprus. She is the founder and Chairperson of the North Cyprus Dyslexia Association and has completed the Hornsby Diploma Course on Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia) in 2001. Ersin has been working for the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus since 2003 as an Information Assistant in the Public Information Office. She is the author of her autobiography My Life/File. An inspiring book that recounts the hardships and joys of her life, her family and her work, as she moves between British, Turkish and Greek Cypriot cultures. She also includes a revealing account of her battle with Cancer. She writes as she lives with energy and humour. Ersin has been a member of the Crusaders Toastmasters Club since 2014, and is actively working towards achieving her goal to become a motivational speaker.

Ogechi, is a graduate of Eastern Mediterranean University. A cyber-security and digital forensics specialist, pragmatic and adept at preparing and conducting infrastructure and web application penetration testing, risk assessment, IT operations and incident response. His track record, working with multicultural, financial and hospitality industry has helped him build a strong analytical skill to perform QMS, IS strategies, data privacy implementation and effective communication across functional technical and business teams.

He is currently the Director, Business System at TSYS, a Fortune 1000 company where he has enjoyed a successful and illustrious career as one of the youngest management professionals at his level. His career has spanned numerous business functions including sales , business account management, pre-sales, business analysis, consulting and customer services. Vipin is the author of the book "My Work My Way", (www.myworkmywaybook.com ) a book written to help young professionals to excel and thrive in the early stages of their careers. He frequently writes about career development, personal development and spirituality on his blog www.vipinramdas.com. Vipin holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a MBA in Marketing. Vipin has been a member of Crusaders Toastmasters Club and was the winner of the 2017 Toastmasters Cyprus Public Speaking competition.
