In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Mr. Emrani has a science lab in elementary school and lets his students explore everything in it. He's not one of those typical teachers who follows their school's guideline in their classes. He teaches critical thinking, self-learning, and self-starting to next generations.

Amir Mehrani

Amir is an Executive Coach, Author, Life Observer, and Questioner. He helps Leaders to get results by understanding their behaviors, mindset, and work style. Asking powerful questions and challenge them to go beyond themselves. His background in technology and perception of the rapidly changing world, complexity, and uncertainty help him to analyze the trends and consult leaders to expect possible success scenarios. Amir is Middle East partner of European Center for Positive Change. Co-Author of Another State of Mind (2014, Palgrave). The book is an international collaboration for an inquiry into human wisdom and discovers learning opportunities for today's leaders. He also published Valayesh an insight into everyday life, Joe Stories, philosophical and psychological minimal stories and also published more than 1000 articles on his personal site "thecoach.ir" in the last 10 years.

Sarvenaz Heraner

Author, teacher and speaker

My name is Sarvenaz Heraner. I was born in 1972 in Iran. I started my kindergarten and school in Wyoming, USA in the 70s. Then I returned to Iran. I got my BA and MA in English literature and I have been teaching English for 27 years, in different English institutes, in The White stick institute for the blind, and now in university. My students call their classes with me: Life in English language. I translated cartoons and movies for IRIB for 17 years. I married my buddy Mehdi based on our interests music, books, art, humanity, nature, peace....we had the thought of making a small change in the world. So we turned our own car into a rolling bookstore, called Ketabraneh, to promote book reading, music, peace, human conversation. Five years ago UN recognized our activity and we hold couple of international events with them in Tehran in our office inside a school. I am the writer of several books including four books of poetry both in English and Persian.

Shaghayegh Jahanbani

Carpenter, Entrepreneur

Shaghayegh Jahanbani is an independent free spirit woman who started her career as a carpenter at age 25, She's a natural born stutter who experienced bully in school days, but Shaghayegh never lets her stuttering become a problem. Her mission in life is to live happily and make people happy too, She found enjoyment in traveling and has a goal to see the whole world. Also, she works as a PR manager at her cafe too.
