Ashley Hernandez first began working with Communities for a Better Environment as a member of Youth For Environmental Justice (Youth EJ), Youth Action at Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, CA. from 2010- 2011. Learning about the cumulative impact issues during her junior year of High School was more than set mind to a new found passion; fighting for Environmental Justice.

Dave Leon is an LCSW, an adjunct professor of social welfare at UCLA, works in private practice and is founding director of Painted Brain, a nonprofit that creates lasting community-based solutions to mental health challenges and social injustice through arts, advocacy and enterprise.
Kensha Bell
Student Leader
Born in Inglewood and raised in Watts, Kensha strives to pave the way for emerging leaders in his community, having founded an organization called Litm Leaders in the Making in 10th grade, published a book called “The Movement.” His goals are: Starting a non-profit, opening a record label to help highlight talent in the South L.A. community, writing another book, and running for District 8 City Council, but above all run for U.S. President in 2036!
Montea Robinson
Managing Director of Ghetto Film School Los Angeles
After completing a BFA in Experimental Film at SUNY Purchase School of Film and Media studies, Montea began her career in advertising for clients like Fox and Nike. She now serves as the Managing Director of Ghetto Film School Los Angeles, whose mission is to educate, celebrate and develop the next generation of great American storytellers.
Neelam Sharma
Executive Director of Community Services Unlimited
Neelam Sharma serves as Executive Director of Community Services Unlimited Inc. (CSU), a non-profit based in South Central L.A. When she moved to South Central L.A. from London, she realized that difficulties in accessing fresh, high quality, affordable food was a generalized experience for South LA residents. Her need to feed her own family good food became her work and was driven by her broader understanding of the basic human right to quality food as a critical element of social justice. She was a founding member of the Healthy School Food Coalition, the parents’ coalition responsible for passing the soda ban in LAUSD, the L.A. Food Justice Network, and the California Food and Justice Coalition.

Perry Wallack is a co-founder and the former Chief Financial Officer for Cornerstone OnDemand. During this time, he built a world-class finance organization and led the company’s financial and accounting operations throughout Cornerstone’s growth trajectory as it emerged into a leading global talent management vendor and one of the world’s largest cloud software companies. In 2011, Perry was named the TechAmerica Overall Financial Star of the Year, the award highest honor.
