Andrea Carter

Brian Crombie

Principal Crombie Capital, CFO and DBA and Speaker on Social Capital

Brian Crombie runs his own merchant bank specializing is strategy consulting, finance, due diligence and M&A. Brian is currently CFO of the Ottawa Senators NHL Hockey Team, a start-up pharmaceutical company Santius LifeScience and an entertainment company Steel Rail Entertainment. Brian works with clients in alternative energy, high tech, Pharma, sports and many other industries. He is the President of Mississauga Arts Council, former Founder and co-chair of the Mississauga Western GTA Summits and is the Chair of a GTA advocacy organization, Transit Alliance. Brian is a visiting lecturer at the DeGroote School of Business EMBA on Corporate Finance and at the Directors College. Brian is a frequent speaker on Social Capital Community and the Power of CO as well as on Cluster Development and Transit. He has an HBA from Ivey, an MBA from Harvard and is completing a DBA from ISM Paris with the topic: The Role of Social Capital in Innovative Economic Clusters in Times of Financial Duress.

Khady Ndoye

Educator and Digital Strategist

Creative Entrepreneur - mover and shaker who loves to build projects from scratch and bring them to fruition. Khady Ndoye is an Educator and a Digital Strategist Consultant who helps businesses flourish and grow via Digital Marketing. Passionate about languages Khady founded LaPolyglotte a bilingual platform that encourages the global dissemination of African and indigenous languages into the education curriculum. In 2016, she won the best Espoir entrepreneurs and the same year she was invited by the Obama's administration at the Global Entrepreneurship at Stanford University, in Palo Alto, California to attend President Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai CEO of Google and Brian Chesky CEO of Airbnb inspirational speeches. Khady, the "adopted Torontonian" has lived and worked in France, Spain, China, Mexico, Senegal, and Canada.

Olutoyin Oyelade

Entrepreneur, Investment Manager and Author

Olutoyin Oyelade is the Founder @InVcap, an Investment management firm. InVcap is Lead Investor at SplashWorld- Waterpark, Nigeria—reputed to be the first Waterpark in West Africa; and EntrepreneursPoint, a co-working Centre in Canada. Olutoyin has 24 years cognate experience in the financial sector starting from former Intercontinental Bank, where she rose to the position of Group Treasurer. In the non-profit sector, Olutoyin serves social impact organizations including Casa Foundation, Canada, where she is President and Convener of Friends of Africa- an economic summit; and with African Expert Network, a Washington DC Investment advisory group. Olutoyin has a Doctorate degree in Management, University of Maryland, University College. She graduated from Wharton’s advanced management, IMD Lausanne’s business marketing, and Lagos Business School's Senior Management Programs. She is author of Advancing Beyond the Ceiling.

Sherron Grant

Educator and Special Needs Advocate

Sherron Grant is a mother, educator and advocate for persons with special needs. She has been an elementary school teacher and Vice-Principal with the Toronto District School Board since 2005. Sherron graduated from York University with an Honours B.A. in Sociology and Latin American and Caribbean studies. She returned to school full-time and completed her Bachelor of Education degree in 2005 at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. Shortly after, she completed her Master of Education degree also at OISE. Sherron feels blessed with the opportunity to empower and enlighten students, support teachers and partner with parents. Outside of school, Sherron supports families, volunteers and advocates for people with Autism and other exceptionalities to be recognized for their valuable contributions to society and emphasizes the benefit we all experience when eliminating barriers for others.

Taras Kulish

Lawyer and Volunteer

Taras Kulish is a bridge builder. As a member of the Ontario, New York and Quebec Bars, clients from all over the world come to him for sound legal and business advice in English and French, for nearly 25 years. People appreciate Taras' approach because he constantly opens new doors for them, their businesses and organizations. Taras has volunteered with HOPE worldwide Canada since 2000 and served on the Board as president, Country Director, and International Relations Officer, at various times. Since March 2015, Taras conceived, created and mentors the Helping Hand project which provides PTSD Therapy to children suffering from war trauma as a result of the war in Eastern Ukraine. The Helping Hand program trains local psychologists, social workers and art therapists throughout Ukraine to help the children of 1.7 million Internally Displaced People resulting from the conflict. In building the Helping Hand program, Taras called in many contacts from the last 50 years of his life.
