In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Maya has 20 years of experience in media advising, lobbying, community building and event productions for the public and Third Sectors. She has served in the past as spokesperson and part of the close staff of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, as Chief Information Officer for the Israeli Consulate General in NY, as Chief Representative of the Geneva Initiative in North America and as Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, a M100$ foundation.

Ori Katz

Is it possible to look around corners, and through frosted glass windows with nothing but a smartphone camera? Dr. Ori Katz and his team leverage novel insights on light scattering to use walls as mirrors, and to develop novel microscopes than can see deeper into tissues. At the Hebrew University's Advanced Imaging Lab, Dr. Ori Katz and his team are studying new ways to look deeper into the body, through diffuse barriers, and around corners with light and sound.

Yaacov Perri

יעקב פרי,יליד ישראל,שירת 30 שנה בשירות הבטחון הכללי במגוון רחב של תפקידי פיקוד ,בעקר במגזר הלחימה בטרור הפלסטיני. בשנת 1988 מונה לתפקיד ראש השב״כ ושירת תחת פיקודם של ראשי הממשלות יצחק שמיר ז״ל ויצחק רבין ז״ל במשך 7 שנים. עם פרישתו ב-1995 מונה לנשיא ומנכ”ל סלקום והביא את המהפכה הסלולארית לישראל. כיהן 10 שנים כיו״ר בנק מזרחי טפחות והבנק הפך לאחד מהבנקים המובילים בישראל. שירת בהתנדבות כיו״ר קרן הקולנוע הישראלית,יו”ר חוג ידידי בית החולים תל השומר, כיו״ר בית התפוצות ועוד ארגונים חברתיים וציבוריים רבים. נשוי אב ל-3 ילדים ו-8 נכדים.
