TEDxHaymarket is back for 2018, and bigger than ever! This year we explore the theme 'Re:Connect'. On October 27 at COMMUNE, Waterloo; we'll explore how technology is challenging the way we have traditionally communicated, collaborated and built communities, and is now creating new methods and behaviours that guide our human interactions in the digital age.

Digital technology has provided us a means to connect and stay connected with one another easier than ever before. It has also provided a channel for anonymity and bullying, the spreading of propaganda and fake news, and helped to polarise views and social groups. It has also shifted our preference for deep, meaningful connections to short, superficial and, at times, self-centered interactions.

We cannot wait to announce our speakers who'll tackle this topical theme and explore a myriad of ideas, solutions and perspectives on how to reconnect with themselves, others and the world. We'll see you there!
