In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ankit Srivastava founded 'The Urban Llama’ in 2016 with the vision to make unconventional wisdom conventional, an organisation which was later absorbed by Knowledge Woods Consulting, a training company where he works with the industry leaders to build a flexible learning platform. Being an educational activist, Mr. Srivastava has recognised the flaws in the educational system often giving an exceedingly large weightage to test scores rather than pragmatic attitude. He is also an authour presently working on two books, a social media influencer, an event manager and a public speaker.

Anwesh Sahoo

His life as a young man struggling with his sexuality and the process of coming out, the times he has held himself back due to fear and insecurity, and his finally epiphany that lead to him to the realization that 'there is no peace in avoiding life and so he faced it all, and pushed himself to get through.' Anwesh was just 20 when he was titled Mr. Gay World India 2016, becoming the youngest person ever to hold the same title. That same year he was one of the finalist at the international pageant Mr. Gay World 2016. He has been writing about gender related issues since he was 18 years old, drawing from his experiences, providing consolation to people facing the same issues through his words. After completing his graduation in Electronics and Communication engineering, he has started his campaign called 'Fitting Out' calling for more and more people to accept and produce themselves to the world as they really are.

Ira Singhal

IAS officer

Ira Singhal is the first person with disability to top the prestigious Civil Services Examination of India. She has B.E. and MBA degrees and has worked as a Strategy Manager for Cadbury India Limited. Before her selection as an IAS officer in 2015, she was rejected thrice by the government as an IRS officer in the same exam despite clearing it, due to her disability. But she didn’t let these failures knock her down, instead she thought that failures are the stepping stones to success. She decided to fight the rejection in CAT and won after a long battle. Before joining as an IRS officer, she gave the exam again and this time she got selected as an IAS officer. She currently serves as SDM of Alipur sub-division in North Delhi district.
