Theme: RESIST MEDIOCRITY

The theme of the conference revolves around confrontation, and plans to invite 6 speakers who are not willing to be mediocre. They like the undercurrent of the river, in their own way to insist on doing what they like, even if they are in the eyes of the public, there are some unique.
Perhaps mediocrity is the norm in life, in reality many people are not willing to mediocrity, but because of the pressure of life, step by step, have to live mediocre. They refused to yield, but surrendered step by step. Our speakers dare to fight against mediocrity, they are brave, there is a cavity of blood, can wake up this audience, to the audience strength. The audience may not make changes in our lives immediately because of our TEDxSICAU conference, but I think our conference will wake up their hearts and let them renew their courage and enthusiasm for what they like. Maybe pick up a guitar that's dusty because of busy work.
Passion, a young heart, and then go all out, dare to fight against mediocrity, you can live without mediocrity. This is the spirit of this congress.

Experienced lots of unpleasantness, she still standing straight with head held high, because there is no need to hide and nothing to fear of.

Join the group of "CHENGDU ROOTS & SHOOTS" in 2012. Organized the large children's enviormental show in 2014 and 2015, 50 thousand yuan was collected in 2014,then the show 《happiness during following》premired in Sichuan opera house, and Chengdu women an children center theatre. In 2016, Organized activeties on Chengdu staion enviormental week series from China & France Enviormental Month ,recived attention in social wildly.Also, schemed "2016, Jane Goodal'sl public welfare trip in Chengdu",hosted《the reason of hope》public lecture.

Lullaby Doll

A Doll Artist who designs BJDs (Ball Joint Doll) and Ceramic sculptures. A co-partner of QianMian December Doll Studio.

She devotes herself in designing BJDs and Ceramic sculptures and also owns a studio including two artists. LullabyDoll thinks that Doll Artist conveys their meaningful and deep thoughts through the aesthetic dolls which vary from different appearances and forms. To some extent, these dolls are fine arts that speak out loud of the ideas of their creator not only from the external but also the internal and even in multiple dimensions. She participated in Chengdu Dolly Paradise Exhibition(CDDP3),Beijing Dolly Paradise Exhibition(BJDP14) and 2017ART DOLL EXPO.

Qichao Mao

Animation Director & Artistic Director. Founder of Magic Studio. The Best Director in Cannes International Film Festival(Diversity in Cannes).

Born in April 12th 1983,Sichuan province, Mao Qinchao now lives in Chengdu. An initiator of Magic Studio. He wrote and directed a cartoon film trilogy—The Beauty, Shoes and Revolution-The City of Haze. The Beauty was nominated for Best Animated Short Film in CICAF. Shoes was awarded for Best Director in SCTVF. Revolution-The City of Haze also was awarded for the top prize Festival Crystal Art Awards and so on in Belarus International Animation. And Revolution-The City Of Haze was played in the Short Film Corner, Animation Day and Diversity in Cannes sections during the Cannes International Film Festival. Besides that, it was also nominated for Best Animated Short Film in the 54th Golden Horse Awards and awarded for Best Director in Cannes International Film Festival. Currently He’s directing the animated film Phoenix which will be premiered in 2019.

Rachel Grace Pinniger

A doctor ,the originator of the The Blue Sheep Craft Store and Blue Sheep Communities and an angel to disabled people and poor minority people in China.

Born in England, worked in 15 different countries, her focus has been in hospital pediatrics, developing community and public health and in training health workers. In 1989 she went to China. Her team developed small hovercraft that can reach remote places where no other craft can go, in order to provide and support medical services. Years later in Tibet, China, her team helped in surgical camps for people with cleft lips and palates, club-feet and other plastic surgery problems. Many disabled people attended, including some amputees and other young adults who had had polio years before. They arranged skills in things like sewing, wood carving, painting, and bee keeping. After she moved to Chengdu, she met others working with poor minority people making traditional handcrafts, who then also found it difficult to market the products. On the spur of the moment she offered to help the sell these things. So The Blue Sheep shop was registered in Sichuan in 2013.

Yi Zhang

Journalists, popular science worker

Reporter, Free Science Popular. Graduated from Sichuan Agricultural University, majoring in plant protection and urban gardening for seven years. After graduation, he worked in Chengdu Television Station and devoted himself to the activities of natural science popularization among teenagers. He successively taught Natural Science sharing classes in more than 50 primary and secondary schools in Chengdu. Participate in or organize nearly 100 outdoor popular science activities. By CCTV, Chengdu TV, Chengdu Business Daily, nearly a week, Mancheng and other media interviews. Participated in the compilation of "Solidified Time and Space" popular science books and draw more than 70 popular science illustrations. He will bring us the speech "When we talk about science popularization, what are we talking about?"

Yun Yang

Initiator of a crowdfunding intending to care for major depressive disorder patients. A writer and poet who once released a poetry anthology called Dream Planting.

She suffers from major Bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder for 16 years and once started a crowdfunding that means to raise people’s awareness towards those who suffer from major depressive disorder. Being sensitive and nice by nature, she thinks that she is born to live for writing and romance. She also has a passion for astronomy and plants. She is a typical doomsayer and her biggest dream is to be buried in outer space.

Zhuo Cheng

War Photographer

Graduated from Beijing Film Academy and Master from Communication University of China. Now he is associate professor of Beijing Photography Correspondence College of China Photographers Association and vice director of Photography Department of Sichuan Media College. In 2010, he directed the documentary "Mysterious Golden Foshan", which was broadcast on China Central Television in 2011. In 2012, the director of the documentary "Academy of Royal Military" was elected to the International Documentary Festival of St. Dens, USA. Cheng Zhuo believes that documentary photography is "a perfect superposition of inner feelings and the real world, and a deep concern for oneself through the outside world". He wandered through the cracks between the smoke of Israel, the glorious ancient Egyptian civilization and the reality of war. He recorded ordinary people's ordinary life, warm human kindness and peaceful beliefs with his camera.
