"What if" is a type of question that we can use to examine an abstract of the idea, and a huge variety of topic. It does not specify in any field nor any timeline because it can be used to talk about general thing in the present, amazing invention in the future, or a creative solution or idea from many different angles such as environment, business, technology, biology, history, culture, art, science, sustainability, and many other field.

With this theme, this event will cover the extraordinary possibility of great knowledge to be shared with the world.

Chap Vikrant (ចាប វិក្រាន្ត)

Apart from his career as a university lecturer, an academic manager, and a teacher of English across levels, Mr. Chap Vikrant has never given up on his quest for what constitutes a complete and fulfilling life in the 21st Century, the world characterised by fragmented realities. With both personal and professional experiences, he's come to realize the illusions of the physical world, the superficiality of techniques used in the social arena, the insufficiencies of timeless/universal principles, and the little emphasis on spirituality. In an attempt to let the world know his journey, his TEDx Talk will revolve around his life journey of solving the riddle.

Chhak Socheat (ឆាក់ សុជាតិ)

Young Entrepreneur

Being born as the youngest son in a poor/below average family without father, Socheat’s mother worked as a kindergarten teacher at the countryside to support the whole family. Despite being brought up in a rough situation and went through tremendous of obstacles during his early years, he managed to overcome them all. In 2014, he successfully graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Economics from one university in Phnom Penh. Currently, he is a CEO of Dr. Nature and is known as a young entrepreneur and investor. Starting from nothing, he evolved himself from flight messenger to a million dollars’ business owner in a very short period of time. What’s more, he has traveled to many countries around the world despite not being influent in language. Want to know how he was able to change his life? The topic for TEDxAbdulCarimeSt is “How to be an entrepreneur without a money?”

Kol Pheng Vaddhana (កុលផេង វឌ្ឍនា)

Kol Pheng Vaddhana is an author of Discover Your Greatness. He earned a Bachelor’s degree of science in Organizational Leadership from the National American University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He currently serves a leadership role as Vice President of General Administration and Human Resources at Pannasastra University of Cambodia. He is also a Managing Director of AnottA, Mineral Drinking Water Company. Vaddhana believes in making a positive difference in the lives of others is key to discovering the true purpose of living. He is known as a humble and caring person. Vaddhana’s dedications and actions have inspired his family, friends, and colleagues to care more about the welfare and value of humanity. He is married to Sophia for 19 years. He and his wife are proud parents of two children, Vannida and Camson.

Laura Mam (ឡរា ម៉ម)

Singer-Songwriter / Music Producer / Dance Choreographer / Show Producer/ CEO Baramey Production

Laura Mam captured audiences early on with her remakes of Khmer hits and her dramatic use of Khmer sounds and styles merged into Western styles of music. Her music has explored various forms of Cambodian music and she is best known for her unique guitar skills and heavy dance performances in Cambodia. Laura’s brand extends to her larger vision as the CEO leading a new brand of premium original artists. Her new album features many of her new artists and takes a dance pop approach to Khmer music, and what she believes to be an unstoppable music movement in Cambodia.

A rising Cambodian rap artist who has written several of his own song to inspire young people. Breaking through a classic Cambodian all-time favorite genre, VannDa brings a new taste of music for Cambodian new generation in the hope of connecting them to the world through the universal melody of rapping.

Ny Morokot (នី មរកត)

Was born as the first child of the family, she believes that she can build a business empire for her family and the next generation. Mrs. Ny Morokot is a Graduated Leadership Program Asiawork from Malaysia in 2016; a former student of CamEd Business School, a founder of International Business Club of CamEd since 2014; and also a co-founder of PJOB which is a hiring market place in Cambodia. She is currently an operation manager of Phum Dong- The Food Start Up Community. From her own experience and observing, her TEDx Talk is going to focus on empowering women. “Girls should not be seen as only as a wife, but also be the near future leader.”

Sodany Sath, a driven individual who took triple majors in Marketing, Public Communication, and Accounting. She graduated with grade “A” from high school and spent most of her life challenging herself to reach her full potential. She’s more than an academic success; she has experienced in many different fields such as General Management, Finance, Accounting, Event Organizing, Human Resource, and Business, especially in the crucial roles of Marketing and Leadership. She was elected as the National Vice President of AIESEC in Cambodia and ran her own startup company before reaching the age of 20. She’s also a negotiator, national and international public speaker and facilitator, debater, mentor, and business advisor. Coming from a family who has no business background and a woman who’s growing up in the society where men are compared to diamond and women are only a piece of white cotton, her TEDx speech will be about “Women in Leadership"

Sin Kosal (សុិន កុសល)

Mr. Sin Kosal is a public speaking trainer and coach. He finished his Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in TESOL from IFL. Currently, he is a professor at PUC, teaching Strategies for Oral Communication to senior students. He has been a member of Toastmasters International for over 6 years. Back in 2012, before he joined Toastmasters, he was a shy man and lacked of confidence to communicate and to speak in public. Come out from his passion and the journey of his transformation, his TEDx Talk will offer proven and enjoyable ways to gain confidence and to deliver a speech effectively on a stage. If I can do it, why not you? It is just a matter of practice consistently with the right techniques.
