Brandon Rodriguez
JPL Education Specialist
Brandon Rodriguez is the Educator Professional Development Specialist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory as part of a collaboration with Texas State University. Before working at JPL, he taught high school chemistry and physics. Prior to teaching, he spent seven years in the private sector doing research and development for green alternatives to petrochemical products. Brandon received his bachelors from Vanderbilt University and his Ph.D. in chemistry from Northwestern University. He holds over a dozen publications and patents, and has presented at numerous conferences in both science and education in the United States and internationally.
Christine Keung
Head of Business Operations
Born in Italy and raised in Southern California, Christine’s fascination with Northwestern China stemmed from her parents’ experience as sent-down youth during the Cultural Revolution and her father’s childhood. In 2014, Christine moved to Xi’an, China on a U.S. Department of State Fulbright Fellowship. In 2016, she became the youngest person to win the Rolex Awards for Enterprise, in the award’s 30-year history, which supports the watershed restoration project she had started while on her Fulbright fellowship. More recently, TIME Magazine featured Christine in their 2017 Next Generation Leaders issue. Christine graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College and was accepted into Harvard Business School’s MBA Program during her senior year. Christine began her professional career as an analyst on Dropbox’s Trust & Security team, and eventually served as the Legal team’s Chief of Staff. She is currently the Head of Business Operations at an early-stage startup.
Norman Chu
Entrepreneur
Norman Chu is a 20-year-old full-time college student at Pasadena City College who seeks to change the world we live in. He is also a self-made entrepreneur who has generated over six figures in just a couple of months. Throughout his journey and experience as a digital nomad, he has helped multiple people start their own businesses and scale it to six figures in less than one year. His vision about the current state of society combines elements of entrepreneurship and a philosophical approach to life. A native to Los Angeles, California, he spends most of his time traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He graduated Temple City High School in the Class of 2016.
