In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anthony E. Zuiker is the creator of television's hugely successful “CSI” franchise. Charlie Plumb

Captain Charlie Plumb graduated from the Naval Academy and completed Navy Flight Training and became part of the development of “Top Gun” at Miramar Naval Air Station in San Diego. Five days before the end of his tour during Vietnam, Captain Plumb was shot down over Hanoi and became a Prisoner of War. Christopher Gorelik

G. Christopher Gorelik is a multiple cancer survivor, podcast host and former Wall Street executive. He worked with Smith Barney from 1989-2010 as a Financial Advisor, a National Training Officer, and a Branch Manager. In 2010, he was diagnosed with the first of his multiple cancers. Over the last eight years, he has received numerous chemotherapy treatments, experimental procedures, a bone marrow transplant and an Onmaya Reservoir (a catheter implanted into the brain for more direct chemotherapy treatment). He is currently the co-host of a podcast called The Cancer Card, which aims to pull back the dark veil of cancer to reveal a lighter, more hopeful side to the disease. Mr. Gorelik received his B.A. from the University of Southern California and lives in Westlake Village, CA with his fiancé, Jennifer, and their four children.

David Nasser

David Nasser was born in Iran but left the country with his family at age 9 during the Iranian Revolution. After almost a year in exile, his family moved to America. At age 18, he rejected his Muslim heritage and became a Christian. Lucas Ramirez

Lucas Ramirez is a man re-made by the great love of Christ. His journey started in Argentina and at the age of six, he emigrated to the U.S. with his family. Michael Enciso is a theoretical physicist, author and educator. As a student, he has attended Columbia University, Oxford University in the UK, and he is currently working on his Ph.D at UCLA. He has written two books titled The True Beauty of Math Volumes 1 and 2 and he is currently a physics major researching theoretical high energy physics. He is newly married and currently lives in West L.A. with his wife Finja.
