Dr. Ian Hosein is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering at Syracuse University. He completed his graduate studies at Cornell University in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The final year of doctoral work was funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Dr. Hosein completed a post-doctoral position at McMaster University, Canada, through an NSERC Collaborative Research and Training Experience Program in Photovoltaics. At Syracuse University, Dr. Hosein leads an innovative group of graduate and undergraduate students to create materials-based solutions to address global issues on energy, the environment, and sustainability. The group combines materials processing techniques with smart polymer chemistry to create highly organized polymeric materials tailored with enhanced optical, electronic, and chemical functionality.
Jennifer N. Coombs

After ten years in the financial services industry in New York City, Jennifer created the financial blog GradMoney.org to educate novice and experienced investors about taking control of their own investments and financial lives, as well as keeping investments mindful and sustainable. In November 2015, she delivered her first TEDx Talk entitled "Investing for a Better World: Using Wall Street to Implement Social Changes” in Jersey City, New Jersey. Presently, she works full time as an Associate Professor at The College for Financial Planning and she is the lead instructor of the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) and the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) designation programs. Jennifer is also the creator of several graduate courses related to educating financial advisors on sustainable, responsible and impact investing. She currently resides in Denver, Colorado.
Paul Tonko

Congressman Paul Tonko is a five-term member of the United States House of Representatives. He currently represents New York’s 20th Congressional District in the Capital Region, including the cities of Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Saratoga Springs and his hometown of Amsterdam.
Paul is a member of the Committee on Energy and Commerce. With jurisdiction over national energy policy, public and mental health policy and regulation of interstate and foreign commerce, it has the broadest jurisdiction of any authorizing committee in the House. Since 2013, Paul has served as the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Environment and Economy where he oversees a wide range of issues.
Paul graduated from Clarkson University with a degree in mechanical and industrial engineering and is a former engineer for the New York State Public Service Commission. He is a lifelong resident of the city of Amsterdam, New York.
