In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Hilal Al Sabti

His Excellency Dr. Hilal Al Sabti is a goal-driven and result-oriented ambitious individual who has rightfully climbed up the ladder to become the Executive President of Oman Medical Specialty Board in the Sultanate of Oman. Dr. Hilal has led a medical team at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital to successfully plant a valve inside the Aorta and Mitral valves through a catheter. It’s the first time this surgery has ever been performed across the globe.

Mohammad Al Anazi

Mr. Mohammad Al Anazi hails from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has a Master in Biomedical science, and is a current PhD student at the University of Monash and Hudson Institute of Medical Research in Australia. He is a lecturer at the University of Tabuk - so including his skills in PCR, DNA extraction, and karyotyping, he is also a skilled public speaker.

Mohammed AlMuftada

a fourth-year pharmacy student at Oman Medical College, Sultanate of Oman, who readily embraced the adversity of being physically disabled and transformed it into an opportunity to challenge himself and all those around him to achieve his dream.

Sultan Al Sobhi

is a dedicated and regionally renown Omani inventor with a brilliant mind tied by no strings and is in continuous pursuit of what he’s really passionate about; ideal solutions to common problems. Mr. Sultan’s most famous invention, The Wudu 1, is an automated robotic device that cleans areas where ablution is performed in mosques and other places of worship – an ideal solution to a problem faced by many Muslim worshippers.
