Theme: Redefining Possibilities

TEDxPalosaari is an initiative to bring a TEDx event to the city of Vaasa, Finland in the March of 2018. With an underlying theme of "Redefining Possibilities", TEDxPalosaari aims to bring in a variety of speakers from various industries, backgrounds and expertise. We will be having speakers from various fields such as Education, Technology, Start-Up Environments, Sports, and Media.

Fatos is the owner of Illyrian's, one of the most popular restaurants in the Vaasa Region. Originally from Kosovo, Fatos is now a Vaasa native and opening a new restaurant in the first quarter of 2018. Dealing with hot environments (literally), and high stress, Fatos has turned his business dreams into reality over the last 10 years.

Hannah Kaihovirta

Lecturer, Teacher Education at University of Helsinki

Hannah is a researcher, teacher educator and visual artist with a Ph.D. in Arts and Education. She is currently a senior lecturer in Aesthetics and Education at the Department of Teacher Education at the University of Helsinki. She is a member of Helsinki based Research Group Educational Studies and Teacher Education, INSEA organization (Global), JASED publication (No) and TAIKE (Fi).

Kai Saksela

Kai is the co-founder and CEO of Noiseless Acoustics, where he is realizing his vision of turning sound into value for companies using state of the art technology. Before co-founding the company in 2015, Kai worked as a researcher in acoustics and as an ICT and acoustics expert in the construction industry.

Krish Sankaran is a Swiss national of Indian origin. He is the CEO of Radical Innovations Group, a research and innovation company based in Vaasa. His previous engagements include European Commission, World Economic Forum, ABB, Alstom. His experience from three different sectors – business, government, and academia - are in the domain of energy technologies, business innovations, and organizational transformation.
