In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Argyris Chatzimalis is an art conservator who lives in Lesvos Island, Greece. Ever since he was a child, he used to collect and use old things and he has made that passion his job. He is now researching, learning and teaching traditional stories, songs, dances and ways of weaving and even using the traditional loom.

Ilias Giannakopoulos is a technologist, working on telecommunications for the last 20 years. He is also a volunteer and a digital activist, who believes the triptych "freedom, equality, fraternity".

Nikos Pavlakos studied Education at the University of the Aegean and Vocational Guidance and Consulting at the University of Athens, and he is the founder and the CEO of one of the most successful vocational consultancy companies in Greece.
