In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Devyani Kharbanda is an aspiring fashion designer whose primary inspiration was the concept of Indian weddings. Fabric designing was always her interest as she says, making her keen to learn new techniques from her mom, who ignited this passion in her. She's a learned classical dancer which talks a lot about the artistic talents imbibed in her, for which she credits her family. "It is my endeavour to be as creative as I can and make best out of waste material," says Devyani, giving insights into her thought process for sustainable and economical fashion designing, and also her collection Raunaq.

fitness expert, Guinness Book of world record holder

Dinaz is India's fitness expert, a Guinness Book of world record holder, third runner's up of the Miss Fitness Universe pageant, an accomplished baker, a successful entrepreneur and a supermum. She plays all these roles with finesse. Her story is heartening and awe inspiring- from a humble background, losing her father at a very early age and escaping from the jaws of death, she has turned each challenge into an opportunity, starting her career as a chartered accountant.

An active volunteer at the art of living foundation, a mechanical engineer from Swami Vivekananda Institute of technology, Bhargav Kruthiventi is working for Kishore industries presently. His mechanical engineering background ignited the passion to make use of renewable sources of energy like wind, for transportation. His fondness for organizing events made him get involved in one of the most prestigious cultural events in Delhi- World cultural festival. Apart from his daily routine, Bhargav is also passionate about handwriting analysis and playing tabla.

Kiran Dembla

Body Builder, certified fitness trainer, professionally trained classical singer and a certified nutritionist.

Smashing down the stereotype- "Women can't be physically strong," Kiran Dembla was the first Indian woman to get duo medals for her six pack and and was awarded the most beautiful body builder in women body building competition held in Hungary. Guilt has taken over her, after marriage at the age of 32, when she started putting weight and had health issues, which had driven her towards fitness and have her the determination to lose her weight. At the age of 39, with sheer determination, she got an even toned body with perfect 6-pack abs with a proper dietary and medical supervision, saying no to steroids. Today, she stands as a lady with a physically toned body as a body builder, with her age being 41 and her works featured in Hyderabad Times, The Hindu, Eenadu etc. Apart from being a certified fitness trainer, Kiran is also a professionally trained classical singer and a certified nutritionist. 'What cannot be cured must be endured,' says Dr. Ratnaja Gogula, who is the cheif delivery head for Technology Entrepreunership Programme (TEP), from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, which is specifically designed to generate interest among engineering students to foster their skills in entrepreneurship. An Economics undergraduate from Andhra University, Ratnaja Gogula also completed her Masters in Business Administration and her Doctrate in Marketing Management from the University. She has worked in the industry as a Product Manager for IBM-Keneska, and then joined as a Professor in Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), India. She has published some papers on Corporate Governance, Knowledge Management and Online Branding in journals like ICFAI Journal and Advertising Express. She is also a published author for the books- Healthcare for the Poor in India: Problems and Prospects, Knowledge Management: A New Dawn etc.

A social media evangelist, a digital initiative deviser as she calls herself, Srinidhi Dasaka is a dedicated HR Professional, who lives by the motto- 'You live only once, but if you do it right, once is enough.' Being a self taught artist and mentor, she'll be talking about creating and utilizing opportunities and also how small changes can lead to big realization of goals in one's life. The Artist Couple of Hyderabad - Swathi Vijay Mastered arts from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Art University College of Fine Arts, Swathi and Vijay Kumar, chose the unique way of art to highlight sensitive issues of society. Believing in the concept of spiritualizing human beings, the couple believes that this life should always have a purpose. This artist couple are one of the top 25 achievers of 2016, Hyderabad and also owns artistic collections- French Embassy and Shrishti Art Gallery. Some of their famous artistic pieces are 'Tash ka Patte' exhibited in Kingstreet, and auctioned at Cristies- 2017 London, Street Art at Jaipur Art Summit, 2016, 'Cook Book' in Ecole Nationale superieure Des Beaux Arts- 2013 Paris. The couple says, "We like our work to be interactive and public friendly, involving people with the subject."

He is a Functional Consultant at Infosys, Hyderabad, who analyzes business problems and recommends solutions. His well-known skills include Business Analysis, Team Management, Requirements Analysis, SAP etc. He graduated from Manipal Institute of Technology in Biomedical Engineering and post-graduated from Symbiosis Institute of International Business in Business Administration. He is also the Area Director for Toastmasters Internation for Hyderabad, where his responsiblities include direct liasion between the district and the clubs and serving the needs of the clubs. Apart from these, Tanay is a writer on Quora, who writes mainly on Philosophy of Everyday Life and Atheism.

Venkat Narayana Murthy

Theatre Artist, Magician and Speaker

A true Indian by heart, as he calls himself, Venkat Narayana Murthy is a passionate theater enthusiast who has experienced varied cultures of India at disposal. Directing plays ranging from social issues to light-hearted comedies, Venkat always want to present the unseen and unheard stories to his audience through the archaic tradition of theater plays. He has performed more than 80 plays in Delhi, Mumbai and his directorial debut play in Hyderabad- 'Holi' received a lot of applaud. He has also been an anchor at Topper TV and one of the key members in setting up a non-profit organization, TOHF in Mumbai for underprivileged women and children. He looked after many campaigns for supporting cancer patients and a major collector for Nepal Earthquake Relief Campaign. He is a motivational speaker, known to speak on peace related issues among different religions in India.
