In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Siddharth Prasad

Sidd Prasad is a senior from Sid Richardson College who will be graduating with a B.A. in Biological Sciences and will be pursuing medical education after a year of clinical research and volunteer work through Baylor College of Medicine at Ben Taub General Hospital. As a lover of science fiction, he has had a long-held interest in space exploration and hopes to integrate his interests in emergency medicine and public health with space to one day serve as medical support for the crew members of the International Space Station.
