Theme: Shoulders of Giants

This year's event is set to celebrate and honour the the roles of Mentors and Mentorship in Leadership. Mentorship plays a major role in traditional, social and professional leadership. Looking at the titles of Royal Kings in Africa, one would usually find roman numerals like I, II or IV signifying the position of that title holder in a particular lineage. Again, every somebody used to be a nobody that needed somebody's guidance, training or tutelage. The analogy of this could be applied to every individual who wish to attain success in a specific field or endeavour. We hope to celebrate mentors, create more mentor-mentee relationships, explore the importance of mentorship in the leadership process and spark conversations around the same idea.
