Andrew Descourouez
Drew Descourouez is an undeclared sophomore and Johnson scholar from the Bay Area. During his free time, Drew closely works with Free The Children, a UNESCO sponsored organization that focuses on youth empowerment. He is said to have a celebrity crush on Fr. Greg Boyle from Homeboy Industries and claims that he is the second coolest sibling in his family.
Barry Margerum
Barry Margerum has more than twenty-five years of C-level management, strategy, and marketing experience in the electronics and communications industries and is a recognized pioneer in bringing mindfulness programs into the corporate workplace. Barry brought Google’s Search Inside Yourself program to Plantronics Inc. in 2012, where he was serving as the Chief Strategy Officer. He subsequently became certified to teach the SIY curriculum and has taught mindfulness classes to executives and knowledge workers around the world. He consults with F1000 to develop compassionate leaders and corporate-wide mindfulness work practices to achieve higher levels of engagement, increased well-being and optimal performance. Margerum holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University.
Emily Sands
Emily Sands, a political science major and economics minor, is a graduating senior from Seattle. She has a passion for travel, recently spending time in Nepal and is known for drinking excessive amounts of coffee.
Pasha Hashemi
Pasha Hashemi is a senior marketing major and entrepreneurship minor. Throughout his college career he has played on the Santa Clara University men’s soccer team and also has a leadership role as President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Pasha is also said to have a coveted boating license.
Simone Wolberg
Simone Wolberg is a current freshman majoring in environmental studies. She is excited to embark to Costa Rica this summer for a Santa Clara University field study program as she has a deep passion for the tropics. This love stems from her previous volunteer work in Panama and Costa Rica. Simone has written over 30 newspaper articles, her favorite interviewee being Aubrey de Grey, the head of the SENS Institute of Aging.
Tanya Monsef Bunger
Tanya Monsef Bunger is a global business consultant and executive coach with 25+ years of experiences in the Silicon Valley. She has coached and delivered programs with leaders from 40+ countries. At SCU, Bunger serves as both the Deans’ Executive Professor at the Leavey School of Business and the program director for the Global Fellows program. She additionally is active in global leadership projects: board member for Global Women’s Leadership Network and co-founder of SF Turkish Women’s International Network chapter. Bunger is a proud alumni of Santa Clara University, class of 1986.
