Christiaan Triebert
Christiaan Triebert is onderzoeksjournalist. Hij was als tiener al erg geïnteresseerd in gebeurtenissen buiten Nederland en heeft jaren de wereld rondgereisd door te liften. Tijdens zijn reizen werkte hij regelmatig als freelance journalist, bijvoorbeeld in Irak en ontdekte toen dat hij online vaak meer informatie kon vinden dan hij ‘op de grond’ kreeg. Dit fascineerde hem en zo kwam hij in contact met het Bellingcat-collectief, een groep onderzoeksjournalisten die wereldwijd opereert om allerlei misstanden aan de kaak te stellen. Voor zijn werk ontving hij al eens een European Press Prize (Innovation Award).
